I lived in Biloxi, Mississippi during Hurricane Katrina and my home was right on Back Bay near the Sunkist Country Club. I had 3 kids, 2 dogs and a cat. Living paycheck to paycheck, we could not afford to evacuate so we rode out the storm in our house and then had to go next door to our neighbors home, where we spent many hours barricaded in their bedroom in the front part of the house. We lost everything in that storm. It was truly the most devastating experience I'd ever endured and heartbreaking, but thank God we didn't lose any loved ones.
@backbaydishes Nice to meet you too honey! Yes ma'am, the Sherrys lived on Auburn Circle real close by. I lived on Ancient Oaks Circle at the end of the cul-de-sac. Did you know the Dietz family?
