Thanks for featuring Good Nite Gear on the channel again this week! Great to hear your impressions on the bino setup and looking forward to more "Night Activities" down at Llama Ranch includings the LAMs!
It’s something that a lot of people have echoed over the years. I trust a good Wilcox clone, especially at the price point. Never had one fail on me. If it does the job well, that’s all that matters. For now at least. Now those cheap knock offs of arc rail adapters for earmuffs… my gosh… finally decided to buy proper 3M ones and am glad I did… lol
@@PhantomLlamasDenawesome video, I'm new to all this and hoping I can bother you with a quick question. I'm wondering if I had a thermal monocular with a dovetail mount would I be able to pop off one of the nvg30s and attach the thermal? The thermal "Iray RH25" has a pictail adapter with what I believe to be a standard size dovetail. Any info on that would be greatly appreciated
@shane10 welcome! And thank you! looking at pictures it APPEARS that it would work. I can’t say for certain as I do not have any experience with your particular unit, BUT if the thermal device comes with a standard dovetail adapter that mounts on the thermal device, it SHOULD be mountable/swappable.
You sold me on the NVG 30 and now this mounting system. I've been completely impressed by the NVG 30. Looking forward to your review of the MAWL clone.
I just completed the same setup. Binos are super! I was happy with the Mono setup, but the improvement in experience with 2 of them is spectacular. It puts good night vision in the hands of the non-rich.
Running them as binocs definitely has benefits. I won’t say it’s necessarily “twice as good as a monocular”, but there are benefits. It’s that old “debate” between monocular vs binocular. In the end, it’s the user’s preference. But I DEFINITELY recommend the bridge to everyone with an NVG30!
@@PhantomLlamasDenyea I think I'd prefer just to have one honestly for normal use..but it wouldn't hurt to have another for binos or just to throw to a friend or family member if needed. thanks for the video!
I have 2 nvg30 units on a Kock off Wilcox mount. First the unit. I have 300ac of dense woods. I have know the trailes that over time I cut in. LET ME TELL ALL OF YOU these are the shit!!!! For as fare as a digital units OUTSTANDING. Yes I have PVS14s, and Pvs7B. yes, I loved them. But these for the price and what they do, OUTSTANDING. When I'm in the woods I put them on IR-1. Like I said it's dense out there. Take them off or flip them up and you can't see shit!!!!!!! Buy these or don't it's up to you. I'm glad I did!!!!
NVG30s work great! Received a defective mounting plate but Kyle from GNG sent out a replacement the same day. Customer Service 5/5 One issue - I am seeing double now that I have a bino set up. Do I need to adjust width between tubes? Please help!
Yes- you’ll need to “fine tune” the offset adjustment. It can be “tricky” but some patience and slow going will get that taken care of. I took me a bit as well! You may want to turn off the HUD while using them in bino as well. This is done via the menu. GNG has top tier customer service! Thanks for the comment
Great dual bridge mount but I had to dremel and file down both sides of the triangle extensively for it to click and lock into the Wilcox g24 helmet mount.
will the nvg30 run off a battery pack on the back of a helmet with no internal batteries installed? that would reduce weight and also balance out the weight moving a power pack to the rear of the helmet

Do either of y'all have a recommendation for where to attach the bungees to take up slack in the system?
Watch my favorite channel as soon as I got out of surgery. Another awesome video. Can't wait to get back out with yall
Hey, man! Hang in there. Glad you came through it. Hope the recovery is smooth and quick. We'll have you back in action in no time!
Im using the same setup. Even though they are knockoffs of real Wilcox mounts and adapters, they are very very solid and work extremely well.

We’ll be doing a proper field test very soon with the MAWL. Looking forward to seeing the results!
Another good one! Thanks, Matt. Seems like a solid product.

Agreed. We’d be fools to say “jUsT aS gOoD” but it’s no slouch! Glad you like the bino setup!
Definitely ordering one of these asap. Your kinda making me want to order a second NVG30 with it

Great dual bridge mount but I had to dremel and file down both sides of the triangle extensively for it to click and lock into the Wilcox g24 helmet mount.
I wonder if this bridge would work with an NVG30 and a Jerry YM 2.0 thermal monocular.
If i get a single nvg30 what do i need to mount to my helmet? A g24 and what else? Is there an adapter from the g24 to nvg30? Tia
You need the g24 bridge and a Wilcox mount. The dovetail adapter the NVG30 uses is included in the box. That’s all, and you’re set!
@@PhantomLlamasDen ok thanks i thought the bridge was just for duel ones idk this crap is confusing lol
@@Chuckingleadmaybe if you watched the whole video it wouldn't be so confusing
@@MilSimAirsoftBG thanks you fn pudding i got my answer a month ago what is the point of gaslighting me smh what a tool
@@Chuckinglead sorry I just can't help pointing out stupid people and their dumb questions 🤷🏻♂️
Could you use this for a PVS / thermal setup?
As long as the thermal setup also used a dovetail mount, I believe so, yes!

Yes, they will run off a battery pack with no battery installed.
Finally I see its a clone i was like why the fuck would i buy digital NODs then put them on a 2000 dollar bridge when i could have bought a PVS14
