Tell Danny Trejo that we love him and he is a role model. I know he knows it. Just keep on remembering. That's how we show our appreciation for what he's done.
yeah, she's also married to the guy that runs balenciaga, she's guilty like the rest of them and knows what's going on. Hollywood is sick, pretty much all of it, although I'm hoping it's not everyone..
Danny was the reason I got sober in '96... He was my sponsor and mentor. He would pick me up from the rehab and take me to many meetings all over Hollywood and the SFV, with his wife and sister! Great, great man! Thanks for everything, Danny!!!
No shit,he was your sponsor, what is the"was " part all about ?, did you relapse or move ?,I'm just curious I've had the same sponsor for almost 20years ,why isn't he still your sponsor,I could never be without my sponsor now ,were best friends, were family
Met him once through a friend (Johnny) who runs a Comic-Con in Texas. Danny was the most down to earth and genuinely friendly celebrity I've ever encountered. Everyone had questions or wanted to talk to him about his career, and all he wanted to do was ask people about their lives, or how they were doing. He genuinely gave a shit about what they said, he listened. Ended up going to dinner with "us" (with Johnny ofc, bc he was the host). Celebrity or not, he's a good man and it's not an act; this video does an excellent job of showing that.

They joked around about how all the stories he would tell all his friends, war stories. And he said at least my sons stories would be true. He's a great guy. You can tell he cared and was concerned.
This is a perfect example of why forgiveness is so important. Sure there is evil out there, but no one is perfect and given the chance people can change for the better. Wonderful story about Danny Trejo!
Forgiveness is important, but so is the effort of making up for your misdeeds. Danny didn't stop even though people doubted him. He continued in the face of adversity. That is how people succeed, not by blaming others.
Lol no. This story is a rare exception, not a rule. Plus there are some crimes you can't come back from like trafficking or pdf files. Anyone involved in that, there's no forgiveness for stuff like that.
My aunt ran away from home at 16 and never came back. I missed her my whole life. She went to California, got into trouble and became an alcoholic. Fifty years later I got a call from the LA County Coroner asking if she was my aunt. They notified me that she was dead. I found out that Danny Trejo was her AA sponsor and mentor from friends of hers that I spoke to after she died. She gave her life to the Lord and now resides in heaven. Thank you to Danny Trejo and all the other Christians that came along side of her. I will see her again in heaven.
I'm Sorry You Weren't Able To Reconnect With Her Here! But I'm So Happy You Said Danny Was A Mentor For Her!! That's A 24/7 Deal!!❤ Yes, You'll Know Her Again!!😊
I am almost 50 and have always thought Danny Trejo is a very good looking man. To go from such a tragic past, to such a great actor, is quite a feat. Respect.
I think Danny is incredibly charismatic and handsome, so was his uncle Gilbert, thst guy was gorgeous. From the pictures his whole family is nice looking.
Right? I've had a big ol' soft spot in my heart for him since 1985, but it was years later that I learned his first film experience was in 1983 where he voiced the character of Lor Sam Pau in the English dub version of Project A (a film written, directed, and stared in by Jackie Chan, and is also known as Jackie Chan's Project A), which I had watched with my father as a kid. I just didn't learn until years after the fact that Danny Trejo was the voice behind Lor Sam Pau for the English dub because I was old enough to recognize his voice after having watched the film again in the early 90s, and had one of those "Hey! That's______!" moments...lol
I cried so hard because I felt like him. I'm literally living the same way in my mental health. I've always been good but all the evil in my life only made me angrier and more protective of myself. Not only being a marine for 10 Yr with 3 deployments under my belt, I had so much legal issues when you got out. I was in jail 2 times and have a felony now. But I push EVERYDAY to not be angry anymore and to continue to live right and continue to help the world in any way I can. I thrive by helping others but loving myself for me now. Thank you for this video. ❤❤❤
Thanks for your service, and I hate that you have more than your fair share of tramuas and weight to carry, but I believe in you! :) You got bigger balls than I do, enduring all that, you were probably deployed during Iraq/Afghanistan, right? Aiyah. God bless.
The clickbait worked because I stayed for the amazing edits, story telling... no annoying commentary. All facts straight from the mouth of the man himself. a true inspiration.
In my life...in my personal experience, sometimes you have to go to really dark fucking places to appreciate the beauty and satisfaction of being selfless. I think some of the most kind and loving people I know are a testament to that.
That was fantastic video. I met Danny Trejo in Tarzana California at Tarzana Treatment Center in the late nineties he stopped in there to speak at an AA meeting. I was a patient at the treatment center I was from Illinois and I ended up on the streets of LA then I ended up at Tarzana Treatment Center, he spoke there and what a story he has he's really a incredible guy.
Danny Trejo's story is extremely relatable to me, as a recovering addict who also spent years on the wrong side of the law and eventually ended up in prison before finally straightening my life up. The fact is that our mistakes and trials CAN be turned to a positive, and those experiences can be used to help others in similar situations. Honestly I don't regret any of it, despite all of the tremendous pain I've caused and endured, but it has made me into the man I am today -- with drive, ambition, character, integrity, and wisdom. It's never too late to change your life -- just takes hard work and one step at a time.
Love this guy. He came to our small town in South Texas as an invited speaker to The Boys & Girls Club of Alice Tx. May the Goodness in this guys heart keep spreading and may he continue to be blessed! 😊👍
Yeah I I was thinking that too maybe uncle Gilbert was his actual father but uncle wasn’t any good on the outside so he did the right thing for his son but maybe we are just over reaching
*Please change the title. It's completely misleading and has nothing to do with the ENTIRE video.* *There was no revenge tattoo of her at all, because he didn't even know she existed.*
Wow I am sitting here crying 🥲 so moved by your great work. I knew Danny was the best because I am fortunate enough to live here in the SFV and have heard nothing but good things from family and friend encountering him.
As a latino, it’s always a blessing to hear stories like these. lost my uncles to drugs and early gang life took a toll on them. I thank God for allowing me to meet them. Although their time was short, their redemption was greater. To God be the Glory.
"I can dream now and it's OK!" Beautiful story telling! Uplifting! From the depths of his hard knocks life, he rises above and focusses on doing good to others. The people he helps now can focus on the prospect of "....being able to dream ... ....and those dreams are OK"
This brought me to tears...didn't know any of this...what a beautiful soul that was allowed to flourish. God Bless you Danny and Salma, & Thank you both for choosing Love.
GREAT VIDEO !!! I spent 4 years in prison and I can remember them making us watch these videos on how to adjust to life outside prison, and Danny would be the one in the videos, talking at different prisons. He treated all the inmates like they where human. That's a far cry different than the guards do..
People can change, I was also a serious criminal in my younger years and spent 6 years in prison. After my release, I never committed a crime again and today I am 42 years old, a father of 2 children and live a completely normal life. We can all change if we want to and Danny is one of the most famous examples!! much love Danny ❤
This video is so well edited. It really captured Danny’s story and revealed his true self. I had no idea about any of this! What a golden heart, him and Salma. Such an inspirational journey.
Great Video! The first time Danny Trejo got on my radar was in an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles as Tuhon. Learned a bit about him and he most certainly has an iconic story to share with the world! One thing that "Tuhon" said in the episode was "If it isn't a first edition it isn't worth reading", that stuck with me to this day I go for the first editions (when possible). The first series I had already read and tracked down were the first editions of the Chronicles of Dune by Frank Herbert, the first four books of the series (and including an encyclopedia that depicts the long chronology of Dune). Thank you Mr. Trejo, thank you.
He wasn't beautiful he did horrible things before he turned his life around, respect he change his ways but you can't change the past & he has to live with that.
Had the honor of briefly meeting Mr.Trejo. My first impression that I found of him being a very down to earth well rounded and very wise man, he has a remarkable insightfulness about him. Though our conversation was brief I could only imagine how interesting it would be to sit down with him and listen to him talk. Dan's as suave as they come, a really outspoken individual.
Hearing dannys story is inspirational. I never had a dad, and my uncle was one of my main role models. He always has stuck up for me when no one would. I can see how easy it was for danny to follow his footsteps.
This was the best story. I always liked Danny Trejo, following his career and now I know why. I see the man that he really is. May God continue to bless you richly, Danny! ❤
I love the storytelling you've done in this video - wasn't expecting this when I clicked on it. You let the detail speak for itself, no cheesiness. And what a cool humble guy he is! I recognised him from Breaking Bad, the only thing I'd seen him in. Didn't realise he'd had such an extraordinary life.
Danny, you are a wonderful person and the best role model anyone (kids or adults) could have!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful and painful story and I'm so sorry that your father and uncles did what they did to you, no one should ever have to experience that as a child or adult. There is nothing wrong with boys playing the games you played with your aunt's and cousins. Just because a boy wants to play dress up and other things like that DOES NOT MEAN HE IS NOT A MAN. To me a real boy/man would be happy to play games like that because if they have daughters later in life their daughters are going to want to play those games with their dad. I have seen dads tell their daughters no when asked by their daughters on playing games like that with them and it's heartbreaking. All because we are told men shouldn't do certain things or they're not a man and that judgement and thought process needs to be eradicated from existence. You are my favorite actor and always inspire me to be the best version of me and to keep going even when I am hurting so bad (I was severely injured in a car accident in 2009 by a drunk driver who ran a red light going 100 mph and T-boned the car I was in so I have chronic pain) and just want to give up and go home to GOD. Sending you and your family love, prayers and hugs!!!! Everyone deserves to feel loved and cared about so to everyone here please spread kindness, compassion, love and help those who need help WE NEED TO STOP SPREADING HATRED, RACISM AND STOP JUDGING PEOPLE, WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER AS ONE AND MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE FOR OUR CHILDREN!!
@@jjdjj5392ur welcome and thank u for being a caring person, I know this because otherwise u wouldn't have commented on my comment and feel inspired. I am so glad I could inspire u, I hope it helps u and many many more people!
Love listening to stories like this. Goes to show you don't really know these actors, celebrities, athletes, musicians, entertainers. They're still only human. Some do the wrong thing, some become better people. Respect to Mr. Trejo.
At 6:24 Danny says, "A couple of drops off his cotton". That means the cotton ball "Uncle Gilbert" used to strain his cooked heroin still had a few drops of heroin in it. Gilbert then turned Danny on to it. This videos says, "Contin". People are going to confuse "Cotton" with "Contin". Oxycontin was not invented until 1996. I don't want that to throw people off. Just thought I'd clarify.
I love to hear stories like this, of people who have overcome their darkest moments and turned their lives around. I didn't know this about Danny, but I'm glad I clicked on this video and got to hear about his story. God bless you Danny.
Its rare for people to truly change, especially so drastically and towards the side of the angels, but its so amazing, wonderful, beautiful and special when it does. what an uplifting and inspiring life story.

They joked around about how all the stories he would tell all his friends, war stories. And he said at least my sons stories would be true. He's a great guy. You can tell he cared and was concerned.
@@hfarveoh my goodness thank you for sharing this story dude 👏
Understanding and empathy and you don’t need words - words are meaningless if you don’t!
I think Danny and Salma have just become two of my favorite people in the last 19 minutes and 50 seconds!
Salma did it for me when she breastfeed a hungry child 🥰
I remember that.
Petridge Farms remembers.
There isn’t much not to love about Salma. Danny’s story is incredible. He always seems so kind despite his looks.
non hollywood beginnings instills such strong values and ethics on trejo.
awesome video
Danny’s story brings tears to my eyes. What a great story. Good on Selma for being a great person also.

The ;ost are not evil, but it is out there and is not subject to redemption.
Forgiveness Is Right For Most Simple Things! ❤ Yet I Agree Some Things Others Day Seem Unforgivable....
What she do after sober?
I'm Sorry You Weren't Able To Reconnect With Her Here!
But I'm So Happy You Said Danny Was A Mentor For Her!! That's A 24/7 Deal!!❤
Yes, You'll Know Her Again!!😊
Peace, Love, Light & Joy To You!!🌹
I've gotta say. Whoever edited this doc is a BEAST! Very emotional sequences and I love the choice of background music. Very moving!
Yes someone is very talented ❤
Agree They Did A Great Job!!🌹
I am almost 50 and have always thought Danny Trejo is a very good looking man. To go from such a tragic past, to such a great actor, is quite a feat. Respect.
He’s beautiful! 🤍
He is not a good looking man but his personality makes him beautiful
@@DaddiD-te4uq Each to their own
He is good looking. So was Uncle Gilbert.
I think Danny is incredibly charismatic and handsome, so was his uncle Gilbert, thst guy was gorgeous.
From the pictures his whole family is nice looking.
Incredible story, very well told! I realized I was hooked when I became really disappointed that an ad interrupted the story😂
Lol that's funny shit, thought I was the only one
😅 same here.
I don’t know why I love this man so much. Something about him that speaks to me.
I feel the same. I've always liked him
Idk if it's the same for you, but it's because he hasn't lost who he truly is even after working in Hollywood. He supports his community too
He definition of a regular person ❤
I cried so hard because I felt like him. I'm literally living the same way in my mental health. I've always been good but all the evil in my life only made me angrier and more protective of myself. Not only being a marine for 10 Yr with 3 deployments under my belt, I had so much legal issues when you got out. I was in jail 2 times and have a felony now. But I push EVERYDAY to not be angry anymore and to continue to live right and continue to help the world in any way I can. I thrive by helping others but loving myself for me now.
Thank you for this video. ❤❤❤
I am really happy that you're in a better place. You are an incredibly strong person. God bless you and protect you. 🙏🏼
The best way to heal is by helping others. Keep it up ❤
Thank You for your Service, stay strong Brother...a fellow Vet
I get it, when you say all the evil in your life has made you angrier & more protective of yourself. I can relate.
Thanks for your service, and I hate that you have more than your fair share of tramuas and weight to carry, but I believe in you! :)
You got bigger balls than I do, enduring all that, you were probably deployed during Iraq/Afghanistan, right? Aiyah. God bless.
I came here from facebook. I just love this inspiring story. 😢 brought me to tears.
He's My Favorite Actor!! Danny's Real & He Cares,
Especially About Animals!!❤😊
I thought I was watching a Graham Norton clip. Instead, I get a biopic on Danny and end up crying! This was wonderful! What an incredible man.
Me too 🙏💪
❤
He now has become the role model that he's always needed for so many people now, way to pay it forward! What a truly inspiring story
Amen ❤ second chance are needed im proud 🦚 of him
He became the hero. 🥹💖
I was probably there with him... was he in one of his ADIDAS fleece runners suit? lmao... that is what he wore in that era... lol
This was so good ❤
Danny Trejo's story is extremely relatable to me, as a recovering addict who also spent years on the wrong side of the law and eventually ended up in prison before finally straightening my life up.
🎉❤🙂👍
Danny went through hell and managed to come out on top. Nothing but respect. ❤❤❤
Facts ❤
Love this guy. He came to our small town in South Texas as an invited speaker to The Boys & Girls Club of Alice Tx. May the Goodness in this guys heart keep spreading and may he continue to be blessed! 😊👍
Danny and Uncle Gilbert look like brothers
Maybe his uncle is the real father 😮 lol
Yeah I I was thinking that too maybe uncle Gilbert was his actual father but uncle wasn’t any good on the outside so he did the right thing for his son but maybe we are just over reaching
@@docholiday9513yea I think uncle Gilbert was his dad because he doesn’t look like his father
My kid looks like my brother and it is most definitely not his son.
I look more like my uncle then I do my dad... ppl will pick at anything
*Please change the title. It's completely misleading and has nothing to do with the ENTIRE video.*
*There was no revenge tattoo of her at all, because he didn't even know she existed.*
In my opinion the revenge of the tattoo was toward his father.
@@jessicaplayer7710 🤔 your absolutely right. The title is worded wrong and is incomplete.
It was the first part of the video and again 15 min in. Tell me you're not smart without saying it. Karen 🤡
Marketing 101😂
Isn’t that every TH-cam video. 😂
Wow I am sitting here crying 🥲 so moved by your great work. I knew Danny was the best because I am fortunate enough to live here in the SFV and have heard nothing but good things from family and friend encountering him.
Wow. This was one of my favorite episodes.
As a latino, it’s always a blessing to hear stories like these. lost my uncles to drugs and early gang life took a toll on them. I thank God for allowing me to meet them. Although their time was short, their redemption was greater. To God be the Glory.
What does being a Latino have to do with anything? It’s a human thing.
omg that was powerful.. I had shit to do but couldn't stop watching.. Thanks for posting this
"I can dream now and it's OK!"
Beautiful story telling!
God is good if you Allow him to be ❤
I was not expecting to get hooked so hard on this story. The Salma click bait got me, but the Dani Trejo story got me in the feels.
I’ve heard Danny in interviews before, but never this much detail. His story is so uplifting and hopeful. It makes me feel a new sense of hope.
GREAT VIDEO !!!
I spent 4 years in prison and I can remember them making us watch these videos on how to adjust to life outside prison, and Danny would be the one in the videos, talking at different prisons. He treated all the inmates like they where human. That's a far cry different than the guards do..
Awesome!
Golden heart now, but did you know how many people he killed. 😂
Wow I started this video thinking it was going to be a silly little story but 20 minutes later I'm happy I clicked on it.
Same lol
Same ❤
He recognized the child was special needs and approached that in the most respectful, loving way. Wow. ❤
Everything else aside I just gotta say is gosh damn Salma Hayek is frigging gorgeous!!!!!!
She is a Danny is handsome ❤
I selected this video because of the title but stayed because of Danny Trejo. He's a Legend. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
A beautiful story. Danny is an awesome gentleman. A fine example of giving back. I am a huge fan. You'll made me cry. Thank you ❤
Danny is an absolute beautiful person mad respect for overcoming it all and doing his best for himself and others. Love you Machete!!!!!
He wasn't beautiful he did horrible things before he turned his life around, respect he change his ways but you can't change the past & he has to live with that.
WOW!! What a great story of transformation and helping others. Very heartwarming. I wish him all the very best in life. A true hero!❤
Understood ❤
This was the best story. I always liked Danny Trejo, following his career and now I know why. I see the man that he really is. May God continue to bless you richly, Danny! ❤
13 years I was on heroin. 6 years off now.
This man is and has been an inspiration to me for a long time.
I didn't realize how good looking Danny was! What a stud. Great story, people can change. It's beautiful.
It was the drugs and anger that changed the look of his face.
Big props to Danny Trejo... He's a real one
This is why Danny has always been my favorite dude in acting. Hes true and rock solid.
Depends hell yeah ❤
I love the storytelling you've done in this video - wasn't expecting this when I clicked on it. You let the detail speak for itself, no cheesiness. And what a cool humble guy he is! I recognised him from Breaking Bad, the only thing I'd seen him in. Didn't realise he'd had such an extraordinary life.
Such a great story! It brought tears to my eyes 😢 I have a new found respect for Danny and Selma♥️
Same for me .what a great story he's amazing
Like wise
Newfound 😆
Gaaaay

Way to show everyone who you really are Danny! God continue to bless you and yours my friend.
Ex Con Here 👋🏻 Danny truly is an inspiration to us all 😢
Thank you @Life Stories for sharing this.
Thank you so much for sharing this. It made my heart swell with joy. Thank you ❤
I love how Danny talks including sound effects.. it's like talking to your 6y/o nephew.. 😂
Appreciate knowing Danny's story and a little bit more about Salma as well.
This should make a biopic about Danny Trejo. I’d watch it
Danny, you are a wonderful person and the best role model anyone (kids or adults) could have!!
Thankyou for your inspirational reply! Awesome!

0:30 me at a job interview 💀
WHO IS OVER HERE FROM TIKTOK 💯 🇯🇲 🫡. THIS IS A TRUE TESTIMONIAL THAT WE MUST NEVER GIVE UP👍🏿.
Love listening to stories like this. Goes to show you don't really know these actors, celebrities, athletes, musicians, entertainers. They're still only human. Some do the wrong thing, some become better people. Respect to Mr. Trejo.
They're not all human. There's lots of fallen angels amongst the elite.
This was beautifully done!!! He is such a motivation ❤
How he rescued the child was BRILLIANT.
❤❤❤
Trejo is one of my idols. This man has such an incredible story that just gives u the inspiration to keep pushing through dark times because if ur a good person, there's light coming ur way.
Thank you for this! It is so uplifting!
This was very inspiring. Bless you Danny. Good for you for turning your life around and making things right for all the right reasons.
I never knew his story! So uplifting and inspiring ❤
WOW! Grateful to have watched this today❤Thanks
