I now want a comic of the dark urge getting this dialogue and instead of getting angry they start to get emotional and cry because they didn’t mean to anger their friends causing Shadowheart having to backtrack because Durge is essentially just Fat Buu. Evil but not thinking how their fun affects others

Also, it's really, really strange to say that she doesn't have a "personality." What do you mean by that? That there are no connected behavioral, cognitive, and emotional patterns in her behavior? Because no, she has them, therefore she has personality. And no, Mother Superior literally writes that Shadowheart resists Shar's teachings, which implies that there is something in her to resist molding into "what Lady Shar wishes her to be.". Therefore, my olive branch that I offer is that she has her "true self" underneath all those years of brainwashing, and that shines through, so sometimes what she says contradicts what she does and feels. Yes, while traveling with Tav and Co, she can be nudged into "what she thinks she is" (aka her DJ path, where even in epilogue party, she still finds ways to... bend Shar's teachings and show affection, which is forbidden for DJ), and "what she is" (aka her Selûnite path), but that doesn't mean that she has no personality.

Perhaps I just see too much work going into shadowhearts story to explain her, but felt like nothing was really said... Gail knows what he did was wrong but will dip his toe back in if allowed just to save the world. WYLL knows what he did was wrong and is trying to atone Karlach is cool but unsatisfying unless you stay in hell Shadowheart, she doesn't know anything unless you help her.... Just feels too tied to my actions.
I'm not exactly sure how to get a negative affinity. Most of the pragmatic choices that make sense in act one and two that directly benefit the player, raise affinity. If you go full selfless sure, but literally just playing for your own benefit gets you to remain in neutral with Shadowheart and Astarion and raise everyone else to at least excellent. Wyll always gets exceptional basically no matter what as long as you don't insult him. Sometimes even if you do insult him actually. You'd have to actively sabotage yourself in order to get negative affinity, and even then I'm not sure why you would.

Oh, it's easy to fall into a loop by putting opposing characters in the party and choosing options which only one likes. Plus, when they sass you, nothing fairer than some comeback, which means that they will get angrier and meaner. So, again, you both spite each other.
As a non-durge I got the soaking up arrows dialogue. I kept doing things I thought shadowheart would like, the same as the rest of the party, and she kept disapproving of me. Got to the point early on she just refused to engage with me at all.
i got this in a tav playthrough. i didn't pick her up at the beach first. after getting off the nautiloid, i went to camp and rested. shart was gone, so i got everyone else except karlach first. when i first approached her, lae'zel was in my party. she was FUCKING PISSED. had to stop myself from punching her in the face, but now we're on the road to friendship.
Shadowhearts one of those characters that you gonna have one of two things happen: 1) you’ll align with her beliefs and get lots of approval 2) she’ll disagree with basically everything you do and you’ll get a lot of disapproval She’s a very headstrong, straightforward character that will either love you or hate your guts depending on how you play
