Nice review, Mike. I can tell this saw is in your sweet spot because your enthusiasm is noticeable. I've been out of metal working since 2000, but I think if I were still in the industry, this might be on my wish list. Now, if we could only find some made in the USA stuff.

It is true. I get excited when I open that box and it’s clearly good quality and over built stuff. Your comment is timely sir because next week we actually have some made in the USA tools to check out. Lumberjack tools giant tenon cutters, draw knife and vise setup for building log furniture. Should be an interesting vid because I’ve never used those tools or made log furniture in my life! Wish me luck man. Thanks for watching!

I bought one of these a year and a half ago. I couldn’t be happier with it. Speed and accuracy are awesome. The blades are pricey but I have to believe they will cut as much as claimed.the RPM on these saws is slower than an abrasive saw. If you notice on their table saw with an orange multi purpose blade the RPM is slow for wood working but perfect for metals and plastics.Bottom line, this is a must have saw.

I really want one of those. I have been eyeballing one of the cold cut saws for a couple years already. It would make a great addition to my fabrication setup. Cheers

I don’t think you could go wrong with this one or the mitering chop saw if it’s in the budget! Thanks for watching!

Whenever I see something online, this guy releases a video the next day to review it 😂😂.

I like how the vice knob is beefy so grabbing it with gloved hands won't be much of an issue. Nice saw. Great review. Thanks, again!

Everything on this one felt over built IMO. It’s not cheap for sure but I feel like you’re getting your moneys worth. Thanks for watching Jeff!

I have this saw and really like it and have it mounted to a portable miter saw stand. My only gripe (and it may or may not be an issue as time and usage goes by) is that due to the chip tray (which I'd could do without but your mileage may vary) it cannot be secured to my stand on the chip tray conner (it can only be bolted down on the other three conners. (I store mine in the upright folded position due to my limited floor space. (so it is only held by the one bolt on that side of the saw when stored upright).

Have the original DeWalt version of that, MIKE. Terrible vise and miter on it. Love the EVOLUTION! However, not going for the chop saw. Will purchase their new miter saw. Evolution is the front runner in metal cutting, shy of spending a fortune on a Baleigh cold saw! As always…. TRUST your Reviews and Honesty, MIKE. Thank you👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is definitely the best quality standard chop saw I’ve ever used but I agree Evos miter saw is king. I have that saw till I die unless Evo somehow manages to make a better one. Thanks for watching!

That looked like it cut pretty nice.
Will those blades work on a generic 14 " abrasive wheel cut off saw?
Do you think that is a better metal cutting saw, than the Evolution multi material miter saw?

Not sure on the abrasive saw compatibility. I sold my Ridgid when Evo sent the first 10in slider with the multi material blade. Those multi blades work great but I can see these dedicated metal blades lasting longer if you’re cutting a lot of metal. Especially thick stock. I still use the original multi blade from the first vid and it’s not cutting wood as clean as before. Thanks for watching!

Excellent review, I will check out the pricing and go from there. I’ve never bought a chopsaw before, but I would love to have one. I don’t know that the price could be any worse than anybody else’s of the same caliber. I don’t think you can scrap on safety and this seems like a pretty ultra safe saw. As far as that washer goes on the handle. I wonder if you could find a very thin stamp steel washer that you could literally thread onto the threaded spindle portion to retain that flat washer.

Hey Mike I know you’re probably tired of doing table saw reviews by now 🤣 but Walmart is carrying a Shopmaster by Delta table saw for $199 it would be neat I think if you did a review!

I think one of these saws would be great, and for sure it beats the regular fiber disc cutting saws, those things are horrible, the chips from the Evolution saw would be much better to deal with, than the mess from those other chop saws.

Even though these cold saws really throw the chips everywhere it’s still better than the insane mess of an abrasive saw. Tool about 10 min to clean up after this vid and nothing caught 🔥 Thanks for watching WildBill!
