Great look back at some of the cool early RV'ers. I retire in a few years and gas prices my change my plans for getting an RV and I may end up with a pull behind camper trailer.
I was soooooooo into that, I was grinning the entire time. Had my head bobbing to that funky music also! @0:30 That old woody, Awesome! @2:50 The trike, I want that one!!!!!
Your comment had me laughing because I realize now that I'M the eccentric uncle for my niece and nephew, not a Cadillac RV, but years ago when they were quite young, Uncle Dave drove a 1963 Cadillac Ambulance.
like the look of the 'NAVETTE' @2.57 i cant say ive ever seen another like it with fully enclosed wheel arches, looks very streamlined and futuristic. i was too busy studying the pics to be bothered by the soundtrack. nice vid.
Loved the camper body with a slide out on the old dodge bros. truck chassis. I want an old passenger bus to convert, the styling is classic. From the start I was sure either a Prairie Schooner or a Shepard's wagon would be shown, not gotcha for me.
ich find diese viel schoener ,als diese luxusausgaben!! lebte frueher selber in Wohn mobielen und Wohnwagen, Model alt, billig aber liebevoll eingerichtet
Yes, and that's a 1968-72 model, I think. For many years, the name "Winnebago" was in the American vernacular to mean any RV/motorhome... kinda like calling any soda a "Coke" or tissue paper "Kleenex" or gelatin dessert "Jello".
Thanks a lot for the video. It sure would be great if you could provide a bit of narration as to age and origin and such. What a history!! Again, thanks.
The camper at 330 shows how far women have come. She has washed clothes, hung them to dry, and is now ironing them. All while everyone else fishes, relaxes or just sleeps. Bet she has already gotten supper cooking. Did men even grill back then? I truly enjoyed this video. Thanks
We have a video library on our website that our customers go to if they'd like to learn more about RVing. We included this video to the collection. Hopefully, there will be a little more traffic to your video off of it. Let us know if you would prefer not to be included.- i94RV
some of them aren't that odd though. you can still get teardrop trailers, I used to have an old Terry like the red and white one. and the buss conversions are everywhere here. I've always wanted one though!
Needs to have the steering hidden to inside the camper box then have a skeleton 'riding' the trike! I know of a motorbike and sidecar combination that has exactly that! The 'passenger' steers the motorbike from inside the sidecar while the skeleton 'rides' the motorbike!
Just go to Frank Nora dot com and you will find where I got the music. Please feel free to complain to him about his "music" I'm sure he will take your critique to heart. NOT!!! Mr. Antisocial Guy
I always loved the Beetle RV..it was profiled in either Popular Mechanics or Mechanix Illustrated
This music ROCKS! I dunno what you people are complaining about. It's like Kraftwerk meets Super Mario bros. LOVE it, and the video.
OMGosh! Thank You! I really enjoyed watching!! So many cool Vintage Camper Homes...and I LOVE the "Covered WAGON"! AWESOME!!

Your comment had me laughing because I realize now that I'M the eccentric uncle for my niece and nephew, not a Cadillac RV, but years ago when they were quite young, Uncle Dave drove a 1963 Cadillac Ambulance.

Anyone see the Ungers at 4:05? The guy's son still runs an RV surplus in OH. There are still a few Ungers on his lot. They were pretty cool.
The camper at 330 shows how far women have come. She has washed clothes, hung them to dry, and is now ironing them. All while everyone else fishes, relaxes or just sleeps. Bet she has already gotten supper cooking.
Did men even grill back then?
I truly enjoyed this video. Thanks

How would the RV at 2:32 turn corners?
I thought first that the model T one was a hearse
I agree = I'd rather hear nothing!

I love these, although I have the feeling the bug RV 2.12 is a result of photoshopping..

Есть рациональное зерно! Особенно если под старину.
how did the motorcycle haul a camper like this. Cool video.
some of them aren't that odd though. you can still get teardrop trailers, I used to have an old Terry like the red and white one. and the buss conversions are everywhere here. I've always wanted one though!
+Angela Cummings see the engine it has, maybe a V8,hauling that box,but yet,I ask myself,it is not a very cool thing to ride
Needs to have the steering hidden to inside the camper box then have a skeleton 'riding' the trike! I know of a motorbike and sidecar combination that has exactly that! The 'passenger' steers the motorbike from inside the sidecar while the skeleton 'rides' the motorbike!
I wish I had the one at 2:39
