Hey Rob before you spend money on compressor. Check you purge valve on air dryer. Put your hand underneath with engine running and see if you feel air. If so its stuck open that will prevent system from making air. If that is OK then check unloader valve in sir compressor head. Those 2 are pretty cheap.
At least you don’t have to worry about the growing grass project if you fill every bit of the ground up with buildings, cars, trucks, RVs, trailers, driveways, etc. 👍
Yep, the sleeper cab is their RV. But they're neither the first nor last people to let an RV rot in their yard, while dreaming of using it someday. They need to be used and fixed all the time, or they quickly become junk. Maybe it already is, I don't remember seeing any videos about it. He's sort of the neighbor from Hell, with the number of junk/junky vehicles in the yard. Then the cherry on top is when it's illegal to add a carport where he wants, he wants to stick a 40ft container on a trailer there to get around the setback requirement. I'd rent a storage unit and haul the stuff to it, to keep from downgrading the neighborhood property values even more than he already is. I wonder if what's going on, is a realization that it would be too hard to make it nice enough to stage the home to sell. Doing that, and buying a bigger property, is what's needed to handle what he's doing there. But feeling stuck, he'll just keep it forever, fill it up even more, and not worry about becoming the Munsters of the neighborhood. But maybe the new building will be nice, and it will allow all the vehicles/junk to be hidden inside it. Time will tell, whether it then stops being an eyesore, or whether they'll fill the building plus the yard and it becomes even worse. Maybe what he's doing is normal or at least acceptable in his particular town or neighborhood. To me, it's looking like he's more likely an outlier who is degrading the neighborhood and therefore even his own property value.
@@EfficientRVerhe said that he can’t built the carport there, but can park the rv, so why couldn’t he park the trailer with a container on it in the same spot? It’s the same thing as parking the rv.. it’s not skirting the setback requirements, sounds like parking is fine just not a building.
Hey there, Bob, when you take the container and you set it out and you’re putting it across the different suspensions from the trailers put some jackstands downS time so that each corner you put some jack under and a couple
Idk about Mack but my freightliner did the same thing had a braided line that went from the compressor to the dryer that was leaking not a lot but just enough where it would build up to like 50psi,
The raccoon was very funny…and scary!!! Paint the new shop the way YOU like, in 20 or 30 years when you are ready to sell it’ll need a new paint job anyway!
Hey Robert check the Air pressure regulator on the bottom of your receiver dryer. I believe it's called the Bendix. My neighbor had an old dump truck that was doing the same thing and it was just releasing the air as it was building it and i replaced the Bendix and ots all good to go now
Hey we use fluidfilm up here in CT all the time. Spraying you may want to cut it with vegetable oil. Works great. She is one crazy lady grabbing that possum 😅 Good luck buddy…
Kinda sure I once saw a container rental place in the greater north Florida area. Another option is to see the prices for a POD, then put two of them on your trailer in front yard and back in trailer, It would be good idea during construction you can just pull it to your front yard to make more room for workers. Any content would be good, we all like you guys and the pups. Heck we will take 30 mins of you deep frying a turkey. Yum.
So what are plans for the MACK? Glad things are coming together for your home rebuild. Lita is hilarious which adds nice touch. All the best folks going forward in 2025.
You are going to build a very tall garage. If it was me I would put the compressor on the inside, just on the other side of the wall, and mount it about 7 feet up so you can put storage underneath. Having it outside makes the yard look trashy so having it inside will be nice. Plant a few cedars where the compressor is now. Time to cut your losses on the Mack and send it on its way. I know it is your baby but sometimes you have to let the kids move on. If you are doing runs to the north in the winter you will want to Fluid Film your truck and trailer annually not every few years. Rust is a nasty investment killer so for the price of a gallon of Fluid Film it is a great investment.
I’ve been wondering why you guys are holding on to the Mack! You got your moneys worth out of it. Dinner is still up for grabs if you ever make it out to Las Vegas again.
Wow, when Lita goes into Mama mode, she don't take no Sh*t for sure - Kudos for thinking you were saving a cat and then not freaking out when you realized it wasn't a cat....!
At least you don’t have to worry about the inyectores for a while. I also have a Mack truck and when they get older you don’t find any parts at the dealer.
Don’t buy an air compressor!! Pull top cover off unloader (part of air compressor) and pull the 2 valves out and clean them up. They get gunked up with crud…. The governor has to do with max pressure and would be an issue if you saw tanks were holding too much pressure… should cost you time and no money to fix unless you find a bad o ring.
Dont blame the truck Robert just get rid of it and untill you do it will always be a sore point for you. Get what you can for it wreck it or sell it what ever it is just under your feet and know here you go again needing a new Compressor. You have enough on your plate and with you back who know how much longer you can contiune down this path. Those small Airguns and useless as well they are for small areas only as you can see as we can it is spitting not spraying waste of good hard earned money. Shed will be a huge assest to your needs and if Kenworth fits even better. Loved how Alita grabbed that possum and thew it man she is one tough momma.
@@SouthGeorgiahotshot Pull the line at the compressor and check pressure there, I think you have a major air leak between the compressor and air dryer.
@@SouthGeorgiahotshot double check it right out of the compressor. When there isnt much air to begin with, a leak wont be loud, so you think it is only a small leak. It could have a huge leak but since there isnt any pressure, it sounds like a small one. Unless it is getting to 30 PSI and holding, then who knows.
I'd say it's time to send that Mack down the road. From day one you've taken better care of that truck than it has taken care of you; a fella needs a truck that makes money not one that just costs him money. 💰
By the same token, eventually everything will be fixed repaired or replaced and it will be essentially a restored truck. I've done it with a few old cars. Spend more on them than they are worth until I am sick of messing with them but they end up being pretty nice again for a while. Everything breaks down for years out. New isn't necessarily better. As long as you can actually get parts.
I know cash gets tight but getting the new shop foamed BEFORE you get it packed full of crap will be a huge deal. Even if you only get the lower bottom half of the walls done now. Then most of your shelves and tool boxes and crap wont have to be moved later when you can afford to do the rest of it, maybe? I would almost rather make my shop a few feet smaller in size if it means i could get it all insulated before i moved into it.
Ask the county if you can pit in a culvert pipe from your driveway to the neighbors and fill it with rock to give you some parking. Did it at our house.

Would you be allowed to park your truck and trailer backed in along your property line? My county just said they don't want my trailer to be loaded which is fine since I'm limited to 56K on my road. I thought about putting my tarps on top of my headache rack but don't want to pick them up that high. I have two on top of a tool box, and the other two I built a place for them between my frame rails under the trailer. You wouldn't ever know they were there unless you crawled under the trailer. And use ratchet straps to hold your tarps as bungees have no WLL.
Robert, I'm not a doctor, but I think part of your problem may be linked to the hobbling around you've been doing ever since the trampoline injury. You might want to get an expert opinion. Safe travels. BTW - What happened to the land you and your brother purchased out in Utah?
