NIMH BATTERIES get hot both on charge and Discharge!!! Cooling always good.
for the DC power supply, in the gen 1 video you used a pair of 100vdc cc led drivers, for this crz used a pair of 65v power supplies, are they interchangeable? or is the voltage difference too great?

Sorry for this Mr Peters, you're probably not gonna respond but I'm kinda desperate to know if it's a real problem or something my paranoid mind Is creating, after many months making sacrifices I finally managed to buy my very own crz I ordered one from one of the islands in my country it came with 64k Kms and Honda's maintenance book thingy came with him that showed that the car had always been maintained in a Honda retailer until at least 60K , I have the car for about a month or so now, and the battery indicator when I comute to work every night sometimes behaves in a weird manner, for example just today (I make about 20 Kms from home to work using the highway which in this particular case is almost always uphill) and sometimes if the battery gets completely discharged (like today) the battery display bars stick up at either 2 or 3 bars until they disappear after a while , should I be worried ? Is it a more simple problem than what I'm making it out to be? Sorry for the inconvenience
Log onto the CR-Z forum and post the problem there.
If the car is a NImh one then do the process outlined on the forum and in this video.
Is it ok to start the engine while the ima battery is charging from the power outlet?
No.The charging and discharging should all take place with the car off.
Hi I recently put a dc dc converter nd now im putting items back would you be able to help me with info on how the orange and black 4 conveter connectors assemble back together? Im having a hard time with this

when i charge my battery , do i have to disconnect any wires where you connect the charger to the positive and neg ?

To be effective you need more than 138,6 Volts. (low current) I would need details onthe procedure to reset the battery capacity in the odb ?

Is there no risk in fully discharging the battery?
Very small. But you charge first to reduce the risk. If it fails after deep discharging it was a basket case anyway.
You should try the simple charge first and only use cycling if there is no improvement with simple charging.
@Peter Perkins What do you mean by charge it first? If it's dead, then what's the point of charging? Could I just charge it up every time it starts dying and save money? Please help me lol...
@@djwhite0816 just do what the man who knows way more than you says. You charge it first from being dead to verify whether or not its even going to accept and hold the charge...
Also is there a way to test the battery packs to see if you have a bad one ? i recently had the ima light come on on my 2011 honda crz and i,m not sure how to tell if i may have a bad battery pack or not
You need to read the proper IMA codes and post them on the CR-Z forum fior advice..
