Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal With Tsum Valley - 2020

  • The Manaslu Circuit Trek and Tsum Valley is a trek in Nepal, which reaches an altitude of 5,100m at Larke Pass through the base of Mount Manaslu, the 8th highest mountain in the world. These unspoiled mountain valleys feature a mix of raw Himalayan nature and ancient Buddhist culture, with Manaslu and Tsum Valley offering the most striking and jaw-dropping scenery of the entire Himalayas.
    You don't have to look far to find reports that overcrowding is a growing issue, both on Mount Everest and other classic trails in Nepal. However, the Manaslu and Tsum Valley remain off the beaten path and are among the least crowded treks in the western region of Gorkha Nepal. The trek also offers a lot more side-trips than any other base camp, although the majority of visitors would only explore the Manaslu circuit. However, with a pre-planned NEST Adventure, the team in Kathmandu has made it possible to explore the Himalayan landscapes and Buddhist culture of Manaslu with an additional side trip to Tsum Valley.

      Thanks for liking the video shot. Despite the beauty and culture of Manaslu and Tsum Valley trek in Nepal. This place is not very well known, compear to the Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp in the Himalayas. However, more and more hikers are interested in this least crowded area of Nepal.

Weather is kind of a challenging If you didn't choose the right time and Yap! The NEST Adventure office in Kathmandu was kind enough to send us the weather forecast update.

      Once in a lifetime experiencing the hike in Nepal Himalayas is a good idea as a lot of backpackers prefer to spend their holiday in Nepal. The country itself offers old civilization back in 100 years with a unique culture and the people. Depending on where and how you plan the trip, It might be harder but with a perfect plan the majority of the first time, hikers with decent fitness would complete such hike with no issue. Hiking in the high altitude might be the difficult part is altitude sickness but with a proper amount of acclimatization, even anyone with no prior experience can do this trek. As long as you are fit enough to walk at least 5-6 hours and 12-15km a day.

    OK...that is just mind blowing. What an amazing experience. I love the bus crossing the river but, as a jeep owner, why are there never any real Jeeps on "jeep tours"? Don't worry...I know the answer. Cheap Toyota's are much more common throughout the world... I'm just having a little fun.

      Thank you for the valuable comment. Glad to hear, was able to inspire you to by watching a video. Manaslu Circuit Trek and Tsum Valley is a restricted area and requires certain paperwork. Basically, the whole trip you would pass natures most spectacular view of snow camp mountain, waterfall and hundreds of glacier lake. As you said the good things about this area of Tsum Valley is full of people, their lifestyle, religion and culture of the place. Very few places on earth you will this combination between culture and nature and Mt. Manaslu and its base came Hiking route is one of them.

    I do prefer the more off the beaten path hikes. It would be neat to see the dance/ceremony in person at 7:14. Hot showers after 5 days are so nice! Oh no, a gun to murder the dog?! LOL

    • @nestadventure4444
      @nestadventure4444  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, Manaslu and Tsum Valley are completly off the beaten path. Only about 7,000 people hikes this trek compear to the well known Everest Base camp where over 40,000 hikers hike every year. In order to see the dancing monks in Tsum Valley, It requires you to plan your itinerary around the time of Festival. Which is around the month of October, March and April. ----- Hahaha regarding the Hot shower, Yes, It's true. The trail is not fully developed so the facilities are basic. You can request/buy hot water in teahouse comes in a bucket but the outside temperature is so low before you start showering, the boiled water soon become like cold water. With no shower, for 4/5 days it's actually not as bad as it sounds. Due to the cold weather hikers normally tent to use wipes for a freshen up for the meantime they are in the high altitude cold weather, but enjoy the real shower after the high pass.
      Hahaha - Gun to the Murder a dog part! I decided to keep that to make it funny. Ben Didn't mean it, we were joking and he means to say that there are so many street dogs in Kathmandu (in the city area) often bothers sleep. But certainly, there are no Dogs in the mountain to bother your sleep.

      It's not only you, more often than not when someone thinks of hiking in the Himalayas in Nepal, but they also refer to Base Camps. As a matter of fact, Nepal has close to a 4,000 mountains above 5,500m (Including Manaslu Circuit Trail which is the 8 of the highest mountain in the world) and each of them has their own base camp of course, the world's highest peak, Mt. Everest and It's base camp is one of them which is well known.
      The video which I made through the 8th Highest mountain in the world and its Base camp hike to Manaslu Circuit with Additional side trip to Tsum Valley starting to become hikers choice since the popular trail like Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp are so many hikers and overcrowded. The interesting part is only about 7,000 people hike this area annually and still remains least crowded, off the beaten path.
