one half of me is slightly concerned as to how this computer is going to go together… a few tips for if you build a computer next time (I’ve built a couple of computers in the past with some help from an experienced friend) - put the cpu, ram and m.2 drive in before you put the motherboard in the case! it helps a lot with getting all of the finicky components in whilst you have a lot more space to work with. - the motherboard box is perfect for putting the components on the motherboard if you’re doing it outside of the case, and also helps protect the components from static (which hasn’t seemed to be a problem for me in my experience but I’m paranoid) and also gives you a nice surface to work on - put the motherboard in the case once you’ve put the finicky components on (if you’re using an air cooler, put the air cooler on before you put it in too) the rest of it is fairly easy to do, but power cables can be somewhat difficult to put in sometimes. Hope this helps!
also, put the power supply in the case first (it helps in my experience, but I’ve only used cases with ones already installed, so I’m not sure how that works). I also have never used any water coolers before, so that might make the process work differently.
For people who want to do more affordable PC builds, you don't *need* the best GPU you can buy, you don't *need* 64 Gb of RAM My build runs a Nvidia GTX 1050Ti GPU and 24 Gb of RAM and I have had no issue keeping up with modern games, and yes, for those that want to make the joke, it runs Minecraft very well
don't mind me being covered in blanket fluff and cat hair 💀
That was really interesting Emma. I'm glad you were able to get headsets that are comfortable and you will enjoy.
