Hero in collaboration with Puch launched the first Hero Puch in India in the year 1988. The first model was Hero Puch CDI 65 followed by Hero Puch 2G, Hero Puch Shakti 3G & Hero Puch Automatic. Puch Automatic was one of the fleet of Hero Puchs, where Hero Puch (2-gears), Hero Puch 3G, and Hero Puch Turbo were reigning.

This was my dream bike.I couldn’t afford to buy this in 95/96when My pay cheque was too less.Later I bought a 100cc bike..But still I am fascinated by this.

I had a Shakti 3g...such smooth manouvering, awesome mileage and an immediate connect with the machine...I miss my Hero Puch but thanks for reminiscing all the good memories

This was my first bike which I got in 2004 It ran smoothly even though I didn't do any maintenance for 6 years. The power was incredible.

I owned a Shakti 3g which I bought in 96.. That was my first moped/ bike bought out of my savings in 96 .. I really cherished every bit of it , took care of it like a baby. It had an amazing sound and was very responsive , to get more km/ liter I used to ride it at 30 to 40 k's and used to get 60 km in city and once I went out of city at normal speed I got 70 k's out of it ... It was sold when I left India in my absence... which I miss allot .
If it can meet today's emission norms , trust me it will do good even now... despite if having somany better options .

This episode just got me all smiling and is giving me such lovely flashbacks :) This is exactly wat I had and my friend had an automatic! Such powerful machines these were. Used to perform so well even on cheap adulterated fuel. And yeah those wheelies. Customised exhaust chambers were being fit into these and the way they would perform on the race tracks and streets, with that sweet sound, oh God, just cant express enough! Yeah, these used to put a lot of big bikes to shame. Love them! Good one bro!

Not Puch but it spells Hero Puck. It comes before 1998, I had purchased it in the year 1991. After 1998 it was almost vanished from Indian market.

My cousin had a 1995 Hero Puch(spelled Puch only) and yes it wasn't 1998 as he mentioned but 1988.

Mi padre fue de esa misma epoca, te cuento que aca en uruguay también fue una moto muy popular y que estuvo de moda en finales de los 90 y principios del 2000, incluso hoy en dia se ven algunas rodando, yo por ilusión me compré una 2g, fue el primer vehiculo de mi papa cuando tenia 16 años un hero puch automatic 50 y luego tuvo varios con los que trabajaba y me paseaba a mi siendo un bebé

Hello im from Portugal and i have a Hero Puch 2g with 1020 km only...It is brand new...In my country this bike is very rare... and i like to ride it...cool. The worste part is that is very dificult to have spare parts if i need some day...

Which is better 3g or automatic?
It depends on you , if u like to control the moped by urself than 3g is good .
We were the proud owner of shakti 3G very smooth drive but only the problem arise wth the 2nd gear as you not drive long in 2nd gear as 2nd gear stuck so you need to put in 3rd gear after 1st gear but till in 2021 I miss the sound

2020 me kya ye 2nd hand kharidna thik hai ya nhi, agar eska part kharab ho to repair hota hai ya nhi
depend karta hai ki aap collector ka ho ya aap aise hi iss ko use karne ke liye le rahe ho agar collector hai to aapka ek fixed mechanic rahega aur vah aise taise karte karke bhi aapko parts Manga dega agar aap normal usage ke liye le rahe ho to suggest karta hun don't buy

in 1999 my friend have this & it gives 80 to 90 kmpl mileage , meany time meany meany time we calculate the mileage but it give 80 to 90 kilo miter per liter, but the bad luck of Indian people it is now magically out from market may be politics of other two wheeler company
