Me too. It was a great option back when zoo gorillas were fed an entirely human diet and they didn’t do well with it. They want to eat browse (leafy branches and grasses) all day long. That’s what wild gorillas do. Monkey Chow provided all of their caloric needs in the 15 minutes it takes them to eat it so they had nothing to do for the rest of the day that they would normally spend foraging for food.
I felt so terrible for the little one that was left behind…when she started vocalizing her panic I just wanted to open the doors and scoop her up into my arms😢. She was so protective of her brother when they were both in the enclosure with the first adult female. I’m glad it worked out for them because really the best place for the babies is with their families❤❤❤. I will say this though…the woman giving the play by play as the babies were being introduced to their mothers was so annoying.
I sincerely hope that this enclosure for the gorillas has been updated and improved since this video was made gorillas need to feel the ground under their feet real grass real dirt in a much larger area. This small space is way too much like a penitentiary for gorillas.
Sort of. Silverbacks are extremely tolerant of the young in their troop and the young love to play with dad if he will allow. On the other hand, silverbacks are not tolerant of the young that weren’t born in their troop. They typically kill the babies from another troop.
Since im now here revising this once again Fuck college They have the footage of what happened, why is he describing when we could easily watch the play by play
Screaming Tima, the word "ignorant" best describes you, now shut your mouth! SHY One, you are right on target! There are too many people, such as Tima, who think keeping them in the wild is best for them. Nevermind that their natural habitat is disappearing faster than most of these peoples sex lives who make ignorant comments!
Broke my heart at the 9:30 mark when the little one was left alone and started panicking.
That's my favorite part
So adorable 😍
Aww how sad seeing this baby panic
I think hearing the words Monkey Chow was one of the saddest things I've ever heard

Limited control she says!!!! Hahaha please!!!!!!
Gorilla dads seem to be the most involved with the children of all the apes.. is that true?? Anybody know

The zoo keepers think a gorilla mom is a human mom
Most gorillas are better mothers.
Interesting to learn their life stories.
the male died problem started
In every world the male is needed . Without the silverback, the ladies just expose who they really are.
Since im now here revising this once again
Fuck college

For their own edification for future reference
So the mothers disowned the baby's when the keepers took them away? I wonder what happened? Obviously it was because of the interference but why?
An interference that was 100% necessary, but you can't make the assumption that it was because of the keepers taking them away to care for them.
It all started when the silver back died.
Someone I feel they might have switched the babies by accident
They always take them from there mom and say mom wasn't foing it right!!!! They want to do it themselves is what that is!!!!
Could understand the man fine but not the woman whispering.
They know how the injuries occurred they inflicted said injuries
These gorilla’s would live longer if you’d leave them in their habitats! Stop caging wild animals! Please!
Screaming Tima .... Agree 💯

if they did not cage some of them. they would not be around today. they would be extinct. DUMBASS
Robert Young ... why you have to call people you don’t even know out of their name. That’s so childish
@@robertyoung7823 it remains to be seen how many more species will suffer the same fate.
CLOSE ALL ZOOS! LEAVE ALL ANIMALS ALONE IN THEIR NATURAL HABITAT!!!!!! 🤬
Nice size for bbq!
Wm. Shultzie here's that attention you so desperately crave!
I would kill them all. Food is food. They destroy areas where humans could grow shit. Nobody living there cares because they're hungry
