Very useful videos especially to those just own an X70. I have shared a few of your videos in X70 owners group to help them. Looking forward to more new X70/X50 videos from you!

Hi mr david. in this scenario you demonstrated the hill assist while car moving forward. however what will be the case when the car is in reverse gear? i do experience noises while i am reverseing uphill on a slope and its preety rough and jerking. i wonder its the nature of dct gearbox or i should visit my service center? BTW my model is 2022 mc 1 just 1 month old
Hi Fong, There is no hill assist in reverse gear, but we can still use the auto hold function as the assist in starting a reverse. If you still find the jerking, please send it to the service center for checking. Hope this will help you for the issue.
sir..if i dont want to use auto hold...at the trafic light..jam road...do i need to put gear on Neutral..or just press my brake..and let gear in D position...wich one is better to care DCT gear box...only in your channel showing technical video..it good for all x70 owner...
Fadhil 30 Both Neutral or D position with Brake are Ok for DCT, as long as you understand the objective is to minimize the friction time of clutch. Thank you for your compliment, it’s my pleasure to share (technical topic is due to I’m also doing automotive technical training as well :)
@@davidong2898 As a millennium, I am not familiar with Clutch transmission. However, from your explanation I've come to understand that inching the acceleration would cause friction on the clutch at traffic condition (especially on hills). Would inching on the break pedal also cause friction on the clutch? Would inching on the acceleration pedal on highway speed/higher speed also cause friction on the clutch? I'm a bit confused about when the clutch is being engaged; as I've not driven a manual car before. Would be fantastic if you could clarify my confusion.
@@wongguanghui9202 Hi, brake pedal release to move is also considering inching or creeping. Highway at high speed m, shifting will not be much clutch friction time.
Nice video. Btw, when the vehicle is moving backwards on the slope after 2 second, will the HDC kick in? I heard people say something sounds like the HDC activated, it sounds like from the gear
Anson Loo Thank you for your compliment. As far I have tested the HDC is functioning during the forward down hill and I have not test it in backwards yet. Will try it out and let you know 😉
Hi David its me nasir ,thanks for this use full practical demonstration specially about DCT , now this car is in pakistan 🇵🇰now so please make more video specially for pakistan model focus on gear and intelligence drive assistance.?
Informative as always. Thank you. What if in a jam (flat road) i dont use the auto hold, instead i put the gear in neutral when not moving and engage D only when i want to move? Another question: does the auto hold function degrades the clutch since the gear is in D for a long time?
Muhammad Asri Ashari Thank you for your compliment. Q1: It’s ok to use the auto hold to hold for jam on flat road. Q2: no, coz the clutch is not the release bearing operational type
@@davidong2898 Thank u for replying, and the info. Just got the car yesterday, still adjusting to all the techs and features. not really understand. so better use autohold at slop or hill and while it's traffic jam? just press accelerator like normal?
Yes

Just some sound notifications only, nothing will happen when it’s running..

If auto brake hold is used on slope that what is the use of hill assist?
Hill Start Assist is always activate for an upward slope initial driving

Should i put the N while on the Auto hold system ?
Hi, it’s not needed to be in N.
This is a wet clutch system which doesn’t use the release bearing on the clutch.
Useful for novice user as me..tq
