I am curious! I always find something to watch on Delta- they have a million choices! After our convo yesterday, you know I'm prepping for my first AA experiences- are the choices super limited?
I love that you have found a great way to celebrate your holidays with both Ethan and Kevin. I am always curious to learn how others navigate and spend their holidays- it's so not one size fits all. I hope your sharing was out of wanting to vs. anyone making you feel like you had to. Your son is so obviously adored, respected, and loved very much... he's so lucky to have such a great mom!
I find the inflight food really varies by route. Sometimes there are 2 choices and other times there are 4. I always preorder my food because the “good” options often run out for those who don’t make a selection by check in. For the movies, Kevin says they have options. I’ve just never been interested in watching anything offered in flight (of any airline). I like to watch shows I already know I’m interested in. I hate getting off a plane and only getting to watch half a movie! AA doesn’t have screens like Delta so you have to watch on your own device which I find a little annoying. Ethan sure is loved 🤍

I may already have a reminder in my phone, haha...I think we got a meal ONCE w/ FC Delta when we flew to Jamaica... We miss it by like 50 miles flying through ATL. AA could be my new jam- just checked their pricing for another flight we have and it's so much better. And I hear you on half a movie... I'm always like, I will find it and watch the rest later- and never do. Good to know about them not having screens.... I'll definitely make sure my iPad has some things downloaded. Super appreciate the tips!

Have you ever stayed at TWA? We just did 2 weeks ago and it was a breeze. Don’t have to shuttle. Checked out and was at the gate in no time.
No. I don’t want to pay that much! I also hate that even hotel guests need to pay for the pool. I’d probably only do it if I was in a pinch unless it was less expensive. The last time I priced it was for Christmas and it was $700 before taxes/fees. The time before that it was not a holiday and it was $500.

Yes thats a lots of traveling to me just to make it to the hotel/airport. I should never complain an hour drive to Orlando airport. Looks complicated but im sure just for first timers😊

Oh gosh….if I had to do all that before the hotel & airplane….I’d stay at home! lol! Of course, we’re in our 70’s! I hate travelling by air during the holidays…too many people & delays!
It’s really not bad. Looks worse than it is. We could always fly from our home airport 30 minutes away (which is my preference) ☺️
Me and my wife are going to Punta Cana next Jan, for her 40th we live in CT I have some questions.
1. When you got to grand central where did you place your bags while u walked around NYC?
2. When you landed in DR that 230$ couple for customs is that round trip fee or one way?
1. Took them with us. However, there are places you can pay to hold your bags offsite.
2. $236 for arrival only. Departure is more.

Suitcase is Away luggage. Only one carry on and one personal item is allowed per person 🙂

Its truly isn't bad! It saves a ton of money actually! My roundtrip cost for Uber/Trains this trip was $198. That is actually a little higher than normal since coming home we had to pay peak train fares. If I hired a driver to take us there it would be 2-3x that. I also so LIV on sale at Costco (and Sams) over the weekend 😬

I think that it sucks that you have to explain yourself in regard to Ethan and travel. It is very apparent that he doesn't have the travel bug. No harm, no foul. Though, it will be interesting to see him as an adult, out in the world and savoring his PTO days because he needs to unplug and get out of the rat race once in awhile.
I tell him all the time that he’s going to regret not traveling now while he has the chance! I so hope he changes his mind once he’s grown, because I really look forward to taking his own family with us as much as possible.

We have only been to LI once...went to a steakhouse with friends who live there. Is Insignia a place? I feel like that was the name. My requirement when we move next is to be close to a major airport.
