Lots of Pinemartens here in Northern Ireland too, i am getting a mother and her 3 kits very regularly.

And you didn't even try to lure them in with Pine Marten cake!
Oh yes, these little animals have quite a sweet tooth.
About 30 years ago, my hubby and I were driving through the Highlands - he saw a Pine Marten scamper across the road in front of the car, but I missed it. That was our one and only encounter with these elusive animals.
However, I did spot 'two' Golden Eagles on the same Highland trip. One on the ground having a good old feast on something, and another in flight. Absolutely amazing.
