Her imprisonment seemed to be the true catalyst to her transformation. She mentioned her dedication and commitment to self-help/improvement throughout her bid. It seems that this was one of the cases in which the system was wholly beneficial, no discredit to her own persistent diligence/efforts. I greatly appreciate such stories of redemption.
My spiritual side plays a big part in my life everyday! Most importantly are the days when I have no one but my spiritual side, it shows up and shows out! I believe that I would have lost it long ago! So many people counted me out, and still to this day count me out, but I know someone that counted me IN and still counts me IN! Perhaps within juvenile punitive centers, as well. She already alleges to be a community resource center of-sort, she could very well take that info, passion and expertise on the road, as well. Perhaps she could also train others and/or franchise one [or more] of her businesses. That's at least three potential opportunities that could fit her well. (Moreover, I bet it would do a lot for her self-esteem, her ability to further bond with her son who lives in a neighboring state, and even introduce her to better men than her current pool.)

I understand your perspective, but I disagree.
I think that she would be quite valuable, namely in jails, prisons, halfway houses and reentry programs. Perhaps within juvenile punitive centers, as well.
She already alleges to be a community resource center of-sort, she could very well take that info, passion and expertise on the road, as well. Perhaps she could also train others and/or franchise one [or more] of her businesses.
That's at least three potential opportunities that could fit her well.
(Moreover, I bet it would do a lot for her self-esteem, her ability to further bond with her son who lives in a neighboring state, and even introduce her to better men than her current pool.)
