    When people talk about needing hardship to provide, in most cases it seems that what they are actually looking for is a problem they are capable of solving that will provide them with a feeling of satisfaction. Modern life is too complex for many people now, and there's no joy to be had from achievement. Mostly, due to not being capable of achieving anything in their chosen, field and then being unable to admit they're playing in too high a field for any joy, because there is no chance of any personal advancement, and they're left to living pseudo lives of false achievement. Many people have careers centered around lying about their ability to actually do the job they are paid for, and they and their supervisors have some non verbal agreement where they both agree to never really achieve anything. This is why construction workers are the happiest. Not because it's some great job, but because they are doing something in which they will see tangible results from their labor, they have a task and everyday they see themselves complete another piece of it. It's immensely rewarding since the vast majority of people achieve nothing in their life. Absolutely nothing.

    • @MasterMalrubius
      @MasterMalrubius 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, few people who are wealthy were given it. Most wealthy people became wealthy by working hard to provide a product or service that people wanted. That's why the majority of wealthy people continue to work even if they don't have to do so.
      But I do find that usually people who bitch about other people are envious of those people.

    • @eugeneabreut5208

      Andrew Boehmer you dont get rich by working hard. Your get rich because of choices and opportunities.

    • @MasterMalrubius
      @MasterMalrubius 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@eugeneabreut5208 Few people get rich without working hard regardless of the opportunities. One only has to look at those people who have won lotto money and found as the majority do, that they are broke shortly after.
      People may think that "hard work" only includes physical labor. That is only one type of work. People who are up at 5am on the phone, making agreements, pushing products are working hard. These people some times get by on only a few hours of sleep a night.
      Would anyone say that Steve Job didn't work hard? Do professional athletes not work hard? Many get opportunities but only the ones who out-work everyone else end up finding the most success.

    I continue to thrive without hardship, or hardship worth mentioning. How do you define hadrship in conjuction with an individuals life? Everyone is different and everyone defines hardship in their life differently. Coming from a poor or low level income family and beating the odds isn't a harship, it's reality that millions and millions of people face everyday. It's an immigrant mentality. I don't think you need harship to thrive, you just need an overwhelming sense of purpose and drive in your life. I would argue harship keeps more people complacent and miserable, and it's the very few that thrive.

    • @SensemakingMartin
      @SensemakingMartin 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      There's just having a preference for being alone vs at a party introversion, and then there's the next level where you're actually so hardline about that that you end up missing important parts of life.
      If you're that next level then yeah i think that's unhealthy, and i think it usually comes from having low self confidence. If you develop to improve that, then you'll often find yourself more drawn to sharing life with people because that deep introversion usually comes from insecurity about being vulnerable. But become a stronger, more capable version of yourself, and you'll find you don't feel quite so vulnerable around people anymore

    As I tell my own subscribers. The hard times can make you stronger but only if you allow yourself to absorb the lessons learned and the tenacity it took to get through them. Because if you don't, tough times can bury you as well. If you give up with every road block then it will become the pattern for your life. If you develop a fighting mentality however, no matter what, then not only will the tough times be less in duration but when the times aren't hard you will advance even more so. The problem is we live in a generation of coddle now. We are telling them tough times should fall on society to get you through. And that will set someone up for an unfulfilled life. But if you keep your sword razor sharp, you will find that you will be prepared to use it quickly and won't even have to draw it nearly as much. Hope this helps someone out there---Charles

    Because hardship makes you only more formidable. This is the difference I tell my subscribers with those who overcome and those who don't. Everyone can have some version of a bad childhood, ill luck etc etc. And life will let you sit down with that. But since you're going to be here anyway you might as well try. You actually go to war with the universe. Plan--execute--re-evaluate. I was told many times I couldn't do things physically--then did them. Couldn't achieve career success---then I did. Writing books was a fools game. Did that too. TH-cam is oversaturated--and my views are now growing. Point is--you are here to swing and the universe bends eventually to those who do. Note the most successful all say the same thing. "Never could I picture failing--even though I had failures." That is the mindset to turn your life around. Hope this helps someone---Charles

    The meaning of life is to survive ,procreate and die .
    Everything else is what you want to make up in your human brain.

    This life is to prove yourself for the next, that's why we're born to die, that's why we choose good or bad before we die, our choices will lead us to our destination. Also life is very real, Pain will let you know that.

    If you have a dream, ONLY take advice from someone who ACHIEVED that dream. So many people think they they know everything, that they just end up looking dumb. Its like a dishwasher telling you how to become a famous player in the NBA. Treat everyone with respect, but dont take every piece of advice that comes your way

    There is a segment of the population that feels a sense of 'smug satisfaction' when they have an opportunity to put down someone who struggles with their sobriety. This strange segment feels they are better than the person who struggles yet would not lift a finger to help them. Sadly, some of this 'entitled segment' dwells along all spectrums of faith, including some Christian. My dad struggled with issues. And he ended his life back in 1983 partially because someone thought it funny to make fun of him when he was struggling. I will never make fun of you, my friend. I've lived through that struggle. 💯

    Humans constantly relive the same BS because we fail to evolve. We have the ability but many people are lazy and will do as little as they can to get by. I deal with hardships every day as a farmer. Find your passion and go for it.

    • @DesertStateInEU
      @DesertStateInEU 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have any idea how self contradictory what you said was? Most people that are lazy and do nothing and expect the government and taxpayers to take care of them do it because theyre following their passion. They wanna avoid the hard labor jobs, dirty jobs, icky and untrendy jobs, and they expect to be able to sit at home comfortably and become rich, or they think they deserve $15/hour for something a 10 year old can do.
      Also evolve to what? Please do elaborate.

    • @buggyridge
      @buggyridge 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    If everyone's just winging it, then the advice given by these two is also up for interpretation. Maybe it's only once we overcome hardships that we can venture into newer and more fulfilling things like arts and looking for a meaning in this universe. I mean, isn't it possible that one day we'll use technology to overcome all obstacles and remove all hardships? What would we do then? Come up with fake hardships to overcome? Sounds like video games to me. The blanket statements on how to live life are something people need to watch out for. I'm for each of us finding out what it is we like and doing that.

      The human experience is so particular, I think base things and practices like working out for example are necessary to solidify a foundation. All we can do is provide ourselves a foundation, and share compassion in our travels. Be able to protect ourselves and our loved ones, but tread lightly and be willing to be understanding

    I'm tired of all this bullshit of hardships making you stronger and more successful.This is to the extent of trying to achieve something sensible,achievable and propable.But,when your struggles and hardships are invincible such as moving to a big city to find a stable job when you don't even have money to pay rent then what would you say about life?If i had the chance to work on even two different jobs,12 hours a day to have a good salary i would have done it,but it doesn't depend on me.In the usa you can achieve many things by struggling,in antarctica you can't.You got it?
