I was 10 when that movie premiered in 1966 and it scared the heck out of me, yet there was so much hilarious physical comedy from Knotts and the rest of the cast that, as you indicate, tempered what I considered some of the creepiest music I've ever heard. The wedding was a perfect example of taking that music and transforming it into something fun. 1966 was also the year that "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" premiered, so what a rich year that was for Halloween classics! The organ music that Luther witnessed being played "by itself" in the mansion was actually played by its composer, Vic Mizzy, because the hired organist was unavailable that day.

The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland opened the same day as the Manson murders. A spooky bit of trivia.

Oh man....(Too many to list here).
Pretty much ALL of the Don Knotts movies, Green Acres and the Addams Family, The Night Walker (William Castle)..ETC.
My personal favorite is the score he did for "The spirit is willing" (1967) but then....I've had a long-running crush on Jill Townsend
    lol

2:17 is the song they play in the haunted barn at Bengston’s Pumpkin Farm in Homer Glenn Illinois. Am I embarrassed to say I’ve been looking for it for a good 5 years? No.
