I'm trying to adjust the upload settings, but it doesn't have an option for upload quality. Just captions and pg ratings. I just want my video to not be at 480p anymore...
Wow! Thanks for this video! I checked my settings on TH-cam app and full quality was not selected. Only 1080p. Now full quality is selected because of you! Thank you!
Did the quality of your vid change? I just changed mine. But have not uploaded yet. Does this change affect live -streams? I want to ensure my quality for those is still good by selecting full-quality.
It seems like the consensus is that these settings only exist in TH-cam's iPhone app. Given that, why not change your video title to avoid misleading Android users? Just stick an "i" in front of the word "Phone" in the title, and you'd be accurate.
I am just now trying out these steps so I am not sure if they are going to work or not but I just want to say, thanks for getting straight to the point and being very clear (and not trying to sell some program). Thank you!!

My last video was decent but grainy as heck. I just published and posted. This video definitely helped me. I didn’t realize that setting it private helps it I just hope I noticed a difference. Next time I post a video. Lol
His tips have helped a lot but I just found out that if the viewer has the watching settings on low quality (the wheel or "settings" at the bottom of the video frame), the video looks crap. Go in that function, choose Quality and then 1080p HD. Mine now looks great even if my video quality is not the best. I'll find a way to alert my viewers, at least it's a step forward... Hope it helps!
never had this i ssues until my last 2 short uploads. They looks super blocky but are 1080 and my settings were set up for upload in 1080 too. I assume they only rendered till SD, but not SD but it's both of the last ones, so now I'm worried it's gonna continue. I'll try and make it private first.
Thank you so much for the suggestion on using the TH-cam studio app! My video uploaded clearly when I did it through the studio app on my iphone after it was uploading blurry when I did it through my laptop
How do you adjust the frame rate and resolution? I can’t find that setting anywhere. My phone also only shows 720P as the highest quality, and it doesn’t seem to let me change it any higher anywhere. Not even on the studio app.
This was great information! Thank you. I was wondering why some videos would be missing the 4K. ( I think the settings changed in one of the apps) Very helpful! 🙌
Update: This has been working great, uploading through the apps don’t upload in 4K but when I use the site in an internet browser it’s all good. - Thanks again.
I need better quality for my TH-cam shorts but when I go to the settings on my video there is no “Advanced” option to set my video to full quality and the video is stuck at 780p. How do I fix that?

The quality settings don't stick anymore, TH-cam is now automatically readjusting them to "automatic" no matter how many times you set it to higher quality so that tells me they're getting ready to delete that option altogether as well.. We have 0 control about what resolution TH-cam decides our videos are going to uploaded
@@DeeNimmin I'm not so sure, did a test uploading the exact same video 3 times, 2 I could force view at 1440 which is what they were shot at, the 3rd one maxed at 1080 on all devices which tells me TH-cam kinda arbitrarily picks the post-processing resolution? At least I haven't been able to nail down a way to ensure that all of my video uploads are processed to a consistent resolution lately. I know TH-cam can choose the downstream rate for good reasons, but I'd at least like to control the parent resolution so there's at least the option for the viewer to choose a higher quality on their end
It means when you edit a video in an app or software, then run it through a final process to make a new and updated video from your edit. Example, you start with 5 video clips and unite them into one long clip. That long clip would be your rendered video if you did it from an app or editing software.

It depends on how you’re shooting it. If it’s an app, there will be a settings icon somewhere to check all that, or possibly when you export. If it’s your phone, try to find camera settings.
