Passing game coordinator seems like a better fit/promototion. We do need a guy who has experience calling plays. It’s been a problem for a while and HC just wants to leave the offence to the OC
Yes, that is what I was thinking for Fraley and another having some sort of unified command of the offense. Much like having "unified command" in responding to incidents in a disaster. One coach for pass plays and one for run plays, one of them will have to be 'defacto' leader though but can work.
Yeah while I like fraley I like this one alot more. I wanted a qb developer for an oc but also a innovative oc that will use both k9, charbonnet and Macintosh but also dk and jsn. Hearing he has a photographic memory is insane and that is one thing that could make seattle absolutely awesome offensively.
I think finding coordinators you can relate too is an understated quality. Think of professional golfers, often they have friends and or family to be their caddy., why? Because there is a massive trust factor and if you are going to be spending 16 hour days together you better have some common interests and compatible work ethics. I don't the age thing is as much of a factor as the lack of experience calling plays, but remember, the front office already said that previous play calling experience is not required. I think they wanted someone new and innovative and that is why they brought Grubb in to begin with, it didn't pan out. He didn't have play calling experience either and to be honest, I don't think that held Grubb back. What held him back is his lack of desire to run offense the way Mike did, not his ability to call a game. I kind of like the move to be honest, if we make it. That's also an OC that isn't likely to be poached for a few years.
We all know that team leader who’s 10 years younger than us telling us how to do our job. Leader of men does have to come into the conversation at some point as well. Not sure at his age he will command respect from the older guys. Go Hawks 🎉🎉
Grubb is too fresh to get excited for another inexperienced OC. This staff has enough Inexperience. Get someone who you know can do the job then experiment later.
Young guys adapt better in environments that are constantly changing, and football qualifies. Old guys get set in their ways. They're like generals, always fighting the last war. IMO
Vikings played like 3 backup QBs last year and they functioned well. He was the QBs coach too. I’m liking this
If he can help turn the offense around like Mike did with the defense then we are contenders for sure
Interesting, impressive, exciting! Thanks for sharing, Brian!
Glad you enjoyed it!

This news made me so happy. You did great Brian. I love the ties here

great breakdown Brian, thanks!
My pleasure!
Sounds good to me. I hope we land him
Well after this video he will be my #1 choice 😅
From Viking fan:
I hope that was a report from 10 days ago!
And if not, they should wait for him to get fired and they can get him fired cheaper

Excellent post, thanks

I don’t like this for oc but am absolutely interested in a positional position to start… would that be an angle Seahawks are looking at?
I'm skeptical about yet another inexperienced coach on the staff, but the team-up idea with fraley is very interesting

This goes against your hiring beliefs, hiring on potential as opposed to experience
It’s not a hard and fast rule but it does increase risk. No question
Just gotta trade geno, release him and or start are young QBs. We got to grow. Fraley i feel better about but open minded
Nice. Need a young mind in the offense
Hire him immediately
How can you call Darnold Mr Disaster? His OL didn't help him at all.
Meh… another day another candidate.
I'm not buying, give me a veteran who knows their stuff. I'd rather have Grubb back for round 2 knowing the team.

@@diggitus Fair and I get that, but pre hindsight of 1 year from now when a new player caller pushed us farther back doesn't excite me
@@michaelfawcett6288 Let's see what happens. Go hawks
McDonald doesn’t want Grubb. Period.
By 2035, we will have the youngest coach candidate ever at the age of 19 who uses advanced AI tactics..
Seriously, I think the AI will be part of the coaching game. At a minimum, film study.
