Hi. Thanks fir the tutorial. How come ur petals r so thin after scraping? Mine dont come so thin. Also ,r u using cloth in ur hand ?? Coz on tissue paper ,the petals stick. Pls tell
You can use anything preferably hard surfaces like wood, mdf, ply boards, mirror, glass, terracotta etc. You can also use canvas but not for heavy work.

I bought it many years ago from a local bookshop in Lahore, Pakistan . There was no brand name on the packet but I think it must have been imported from China. Many of my knives have lost their numbers. Even so, I don't focus on the numbers, I focus on the shape.
If you slow it down so we could see what you doing and if course I had to turn off the music ...it is to harsh, and I'm not trying to make you feel bad I'm just trying to give you some pointers but people looking at it you know and you have a beautiful name and then you put on a hurry up TH-cam channel and then you have this horrible music going so fast and you're going so fast to get out of nothing so I'm sorry I apologize I'm glad you have it and you do this beautiful praying as beautiful work it's just you can't watch it.
I know your comment is from a couple years ago, but for anyone else who feels like this is too fast, you can slow down the speed of a video by clicking on the three dots on the upper right of the video and click where it says speed, then you can choose how much you'd like to speed it up or slow it down. I always have to slow it down for videos like this too. 😅

Try to set it on your finger if you find difficult to take on wet wipe. I use my own recipe.

The more your paste thick the more patels get thin, add some more gesso and refined chalk powder.
I use wet baby wipe.

Can we avoid the cotton, as it makes the paste too fibrous?
We can ignore it but it is the fiber that makes the patel fragile and keeps it standing
