  • The BBC’s award-winning adaptation of Winston Graham's Poldark novels returns for a third season this summer. Once again many of the National Trust’s coastal places in Cornwall take centre stage but there are some newcomers too. Find out more at nationaltrust.o...

Dyrham Park is stunning and beautiful. One of my favourite NT places to visit. Going to Cornwall for the first time for holibops in August can't wait!!

When at 1:03 the voice is saying that Botallack is the main mine in the series, the picture is showing Levant Mine, with its circular cooling pond to the left and engine house with its working engine to its right.
If you're interested in a fairly level walk with history using public transport you might try the hourly A17 bus from Penzance to The Queens Arms stop in Botallack, visit Botallack mine, then coast path to Levant and again on to Geevor, though there is a steep bit of hill to visit Geevor. Geevor offers reduced admission price to those with a Levant ticket. After Geevor, a walk along a nearly level path with one low stile takes you to the Lower Boscaswell A17 bus stop and turning point. Way easier than the quite long up hill walks to the main road from Levant or Geevor. Currently no sign for that stop, it's where the path opens out to ordinary road. In the summer only there's a bus stop next to the Geevor cafe.
