    I just finished installing mine, this video was super helpful video A++. I had the hardest time drilling out the holes because they were in concrete. Plus the screws included were too long for the anchors. It took me an hour (and a thrown out back) to figure out why it wasn't seating to the ground. I think that plastic base part needs a way to adjust the height, toilets with a tall base will struggle to fit.

    Thanks for the detailed video and the warning about connecting the seat to the base before plugging it in. I doubt I would have made this mistake but I didn't see a warning in the installation instructions.
    I do have a question. In the video, the battery pack for the manual flush assist appears to slide up and stays. Mine doesn't stay up and will fall out if touched when the side is off.

    • @ManyBidets
      @ManyBidets  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for asking! It can sometimes be a bit tricky to have the battery pack stay put... Higher end models like the NX1 and NX2 don't even have a storage area back there for it. When customers run into similar problems you're describing, they often just choose to store it in a near by cabinet in case it's needed when a power outage takes place.

      Glad to hear you found it helpful! It offers a 4 foot cord, so either side of the toilet can work. We tend to recommend putting the outlet on whichever side is furthest from the door, or most hidden. If you want a single location recommendation, TOTO recommends this location for the outlet: www.manybidets.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/TOTO-NEOREST%C2%AE-RH-DUAL-FLUSH-TOILET-MS988CUMFG-Fitting-and-Measurements-Diagram.jpg Hope this helps!

    great video. Does it matter if the water supply is done exactly the way you showed it here because my plumber wants to just add an adapter to the existing water supply and tuck the valves in the back of the toilet?

    • @ManyBidets
      @ManyBidets  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question!! The ONLY concern could be water flow. If you find that it works, awesome, but if it seems like the flush is not working properly, I'd take out the standard and do it the way the instructions say to.

    Great video, cleared up some fuzzy areas. I have a question about the water supply connection. From what I understood from the instructions the bowl suppy connects to lower connection and the lid to the connector the upper. I think you did the opposite which makes me think I did it incorrectly. So the connector with the clip connects to the bowl or the lid? Thank you!

    • @ManyBidets
      @ManyBidets  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I understand your question correctly, The answer can be found on page 7 of the manual, at the bottom of the page: www.manybidets.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/D07143_MS989CUMFG_MS988CUMFG_IM.pdf Here, you can see that the water lines are connected to different inlets depending on if the water supply comes out of the wall or floor. The reason for this is that depending on the water supply coming from the wall or floor, the different inlets are high vs low. Which one you connect each line to is not important. Hopefully this clears things up. If not, please feel free to let me know. I'm happy to talk more about this should you find it helpful.

    Is there a video on how to work the remote? Or is there any reason you have to pree any particular button several times to get the Bidet to respond?

    • @ManyBidets
      @ManyBidets  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! We have a video that walks you through all of the options on the remote here: th-cam.com/play/PLJHN2nUk70reFk9M3jzXYXSbQxaJE7txL.html
      Normally when we see issues with multiple button presses needed before the remote responds, it's due to the signal not making it to the seat. This can be due to a small room, dark wall colors, or wireless interference among other things. Did the unit ever work properly? If yes, what's changed in the bathroom layout since the problem started happening? If no, do any of the items on the list below sound like they could be playing a role with your installation?

  • @johnsaikaley5719

    Hi, great video. Is there any consideration for removing it to replace the wax ring. Can the entire be remove without dismantling in reverse order?

    • @ManyBidets
      @ManyBidets  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The order can absolutely be reversed to remove the toilet, but the new wax ring once properly installed should normally not need replacing at any point. The biggest thing often missed is disconnecting the manual flush cable before taking the toilet off. If you make sure you don't miss that, and just reverse the steps in this video, you should be good to go!

    • @ManyBidets
      @ManyBidets  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A 14 inch roughin is still usable, it just means you'd have a 2 inch gap between the wall and the toilet which will look odd. If you don't want the gap, the only answer is to move the flange/drain or get a unit with a 14 inch roughin. Hit us up when you're ready to purchase, we offer great pricing!

    Great channel! I have a question on trouble-shooting the dryer and the washing features. That is, we have our TOTO Neorest RH installed by a plumber and all features worked just fine. Then a few weeks later, no dryer, no washing features. I've changed the batteries in the controller, unplugged the toilet for 30+ mins, and still the only features that work are the: auto lid opening/closing and the auto flush. I press all of the other wash features and dryer and nothing activates. Power saving modes are all off, seat temp set low and water temp set at medium. Not sure what else to try. Thanks in advance!

      @@ManyBidets Thanks for the quick response. I did try powering down the unit after watching this video and then powering it back up and that’s fine. That method works. The toilet and controller are talking to each other when it comes to auto flush, auto lid opening and closing. But like I said, while sitting on the toilet and pressing the dryer button, nothing. While sitting on the toilet and pressing the wash features, nothing. Guess I will have to call a certified technician to investigate the remote/electrical commands. Thank you.

    • @ManyBidets
      @ManyBidets  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ludwigzebrauskas8675 A few followup questions:
      1. Did you try powering down and up using both methods in the video?
      2. Is the water in the toilet bowl warm? I know this sounds weird, but sometimes plumbers can mistakenly connect a bidet toilet to a hot water line, and the unit will boot down when it feels warm water as a safety measure
      3. Issues like this can also happen when the manual flush option is not properly installed. Try uninstalling it and reinstalling it (see minute marker 22 on the install video above for details on the manual flush install) If the plastic pull string housing is not fully seated, the unit will also have issues.

    • @ludwigzebrauskas8675
      @ludwigzebrauskas8675 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ManyBidets 1. Yes I can power down the toilet holding the power button on the back of the remote for three seconds and then I can turn it back on by holding it for three seconds. I also can hold the wand button that goes back-and-forth icon for 10 seconds and then it turns off the unit. I can also then hold it for 10 seconds and turn it back on.
      2. The water in the toilet is cold.
      3. I took off the Velcro panel and noticed that the plumber did not put the battery pack in. He left the battery pack still in the plastic baggie and left it underneath my sink.I grabbed two AA batteries and before I plugged it in I disconnected the manual flush cassette with the ring. I made sure it was seated correctly into the plastic cartridge. I then plugged in the battery pack. I then put the Velcro panel back onto the toilet.
      So after trying all three bullet points that you suggested I still have the same issue: heater does not turn on, none of the washing features work.
      I also noticed that when I turned on everything on manual mode (flushing and lid), I cannot flush the toilet for number one or number two when someone is done using the toilet. The toilet only flushes when it’s an auto flush.
      Perhaps I’ll remove that top panel where the electrical plugs are stashed away and make sure those connections are solid.

    • @ludwigzebrauskas8675
      @ludwigzebrauskas8675 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another update: I powered down the unit and unplugged it. Then I removed the screw on the top left door panel and removed the two wired bundles. I then unplugged them and let it sit for 10 minutes - cause why not. I then reconnected the wiring and secured the door after putting the wires nice and snug away. I then plugged the unit in and powered it back up. Same problem persists. I have an email into the Toto service/troubleshooting area on the main website so I’ll see what they say when they open up tomorrow. Thanks again for your assistance.

    • @ManyBidets
      @ManyBidets  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends. We can get one installed in an hour, but we've done a lot of them. Generally speaking we see it taking a licensed plumber about 4 hours.

    Great video! What I’m struggling with is the water supply line for my RH doesn’t fit the copper pipe coming out of the wall in my house. The copper pipe is the same size as the inlet, and I can’t get it into the body of the supply valve to tighten it down. Do you know if there is a simple adapter that I could use? I’m at the point where I bought a half inch elbow to attach to the existing valve and I connected the RH supply valve to that. No way that’s right, though it “works”

      @@ManyBidets Thank you for your reply! Here's what I ended up doing (in case anybody else has the same problem I had)
      I got a 1/2" shark bite connector with a 1/2" female end, and I removed the old nut from around my 1/2" pipe. I have no idea what size that old nut was, it didn't fit a 1/2", and it didn't fit a 3/4", the old valve was something in between. However, a 1/2" shark bite fit cleanly around the copper pipe, and the Neorest valve fit with that.
      It took me a number of tries to put enough plumber's tape around the joint, and I did it in the wrong direction several times, but eventually there wasn't a leak and the valve went on.
      I'm still struggling my way through this installation but your videos are a great help.

      Thanks for sharing. There's a lot of junk brands out there. We only work with about half the brands that ask to partner with us for that very reason. If you want something that will last, you want a brand that makes a high quality product. TOTO, as well as many of the other brands we carry, meet that criteria
