We give full-size candy bars- mainly because it's easier to track how much we will need. That way, we dont have too many left over and ultimately overspend. We got them in bulk and spent about $0.80 per piece. It makes us so happy to see the neighborhood kiddos get so excited. 😊
As an avid danish listener I both highly amused and slightly offended by the movie convo🤣 (Very confused by the “danish movie” I had heard nothing about haha) Danish is indeed Denmark - to be fair we are a teeny tiny country so I understand the confusion. I voted as soon as i could, it was registered on October 3rd! This was so cute. Becky, i totally feel you on the midwest spooky stuff. I was upstate/northwest Illinois and we had a children's cemetery just outside of town. I don't remember any stories about it, local or otherwise, but my aunt and I walked through it one day and it was creepy af. Just a subsection of an old cemetery with nothing but children's graves from the 1800s. I guess more sad than scary, but still really unsettling! Children of the Corn always freaked me out since all the land in every direction outside of town was just cornfields xDD I lived in Ireland for a few years and learned about the history of Samhain (Halloween) and it's interesting as hell, definitely recommend looking it up if you're ever interested! I'm rambling but as to questions...it's soup season, so what kind of soup would all of you be/which soup is your favorite? Thanks again for hanging out, have a great Halloween!
My Holiday Rankins are: 1. Christmas, 2. Halloween and then an obligatory Canadian Thanksgiving and Canada Day for my husband, lol. I love cooking, so I'm happy to participate. His family barely celebrate them anyway. We always scramble at the last minute, lol.
Also something I'd love thoughts on from the YCSWU crew: how do you meet and connect with people outside of dating apps, especially when you're not a bar person?
lol I've been type 1 diabetic since i was less than a year old so when that first started airing I remember yelling "BS!!!" really loudly and angrily at the TV xD It's funny now but back then it got me heated lol
