I'm just writing this to help myself and maybe some others. These moves probably don't parry low attacks, but don't take my word for it. b1+3 / b2+4 - Punches and kicks -punch: switch sides, opponent backturned. -kick: knockdown and damage. b1+2, 22 - Punches and kicks -punch: knockdown and damage -kick: knockdown and damage ub1, 4 - High punches -Damage and knockdown 2+3 - punches -Damage and knockdown
Quick note :- Leo's ub 1 parry is very good against EWGF/EWHF. If you could predict it well with the right timing, it does good chunk of damage. WayGamble got that ub 1 parry right in a tournament
are these good if I'm against a person who has fast string? e.g katarina, Steve and others. so block back and use the block to buffer the parry input or will I get shut down if I miss-time? thanks for the parry extra hits, didn't know that.
LeoTekkenfan considering they're probably mashing out their string, timing doesn't seem like an issue but I see what your saying. timing may be a huge factor. appreciate the response.
I think both b+1+3 & b+1+2 are both equally good but b+1+2 is more reliable since both options can lead to a wall splat for a wall combo. b+1+3 doesn't do much when you reverse a punch unless it throws someone on a wall.
I would say still use b+1+2, its more reliable. Even if you manage to push someone on the wall with b+1+3, the way they hit the wall leaves you with little to no options to follow up with unless you have a rage art.
Uhm, you sure about "no options"? The norm should be 50-80 damage, depending how good your input is - the combo goes like this, I think: after the parry, SSL or SSR u/f+3+4 d+3 and then either end with WS1+2 for around 55 to 60 damage, if I remember that well, or push your luck and go WS3 b+1,4~d/f into your usual combo, which gives 80+ damage, but can easily be screwed up.
I have considered doing it, it's just when I'm playing ranked in Tekken, I'm dead silent lol I don't talk during fights at all, I'm so busy trying to focus.
LeoTekkenfan Lol that's understandable i tend to stop talking too when it comes to my promos but it dont have to be just rank matches it can be player matches too
I don't play player matches all that much. Online is still buggy for me & there are rarely any high level rooms open to join when I search for sessions.
I had no idea 2+3 was a parry!! Thanks for this guide!
Glad I could help ^^
5years later and im learning from this. thx!
If you press 1+2 after ( b,1+2 ) leo will ki charge :D

b1+3 / b2+4 - Punches and kicks
-punch: switch sides, opponent backturned.
-kick: knockdown and damage.
b1+2, 22 - Punches and kicks
-punch: knockdown and damage
-kick: knockdown and damage
ub1, 4 - High punches
-Damage and knockdown
2+3 - punches
-Damage and knockdown
this is why I play tekken with my fingers instead of my thumb
Awesome video I hope I can remember these in a actual fight
Does anyone know the start-up and active frames for leos parries/reversals?
I tried looking, but I can't seem to find any.
Doesn't say. B+1+2 is the slowest. UB+1 def the fastest or its B+1+3
Thanks for the vid! This helps me so much!
Ayeee 1k subs now congrats
Thanks man

I feel like if you can predict an electric you should dodge it and maybe launch it, rather than risk miss-timing the parry and getting launched.
How to follow up when b 1+3 parties a punch?
So which is best option to perry... B1+2 and b 1+3 as it parries both kicks and punches
I would say, if your back is against the wall use b1+3. If your opponent is against the wall, use b1+2 because b1+2 can wall splat.
I'm trying to get good at using those reversals and parries. I can sometimes get people with B+1+4
Nice man, we got to play again.
Thanks, we should
Well, at least they are working well against Chloe's spamming low-mid attacks.
Still doesn't know why Leo had laughts.
So Leo’s parry can’t be chickened right? I labbed them all and couldn’t chicken even once. With such a usable parties why aren’t more Leo’s using it?
Thank you, I got my leo back to brawler and I've already added you do you think we could play my leo needs a lot of work
Sure, we can play
Yeeeah

They are good against characters like Katarina, Steve, Hwoarang, etc. The only trouble you'll have is trying to time it right with their attacks.

Would you say b1+2 should be the go to parry for Leo? I've watched this twice now but it still looks like I wouldn't do ub1 or 2+3.

Nice vid on reversals, Have you ever considered streaming or do you stream?
