Excellent idea. The folks that love criticism don't understand the spirit of good ideas. For safety One can easily enclose the whole shredder in a sturdy wooden box.
Use a steel drum instead. Use a mower blade that is already centred and shaped for use. Make the bottom come off, after undoing a couple of catches so it can be simply dropped onto the garden. . Its a lot easier and less dangerous than climbing onto a plastic lidded drum with sharp knives ready to take your hand off.
I found wet substituting the plastic pail for cardboard stuck together with chewing gum and chainsaw chain in lieu of the Ginzhu 2000 knives to be just dangerous enough to excite, especially when you grasp the housing between the knees and feed it your twigs and berries direct.
I agree with others it's a very dangerous build, but it gives me some ideas. Notice when he takes the top off the bucket he accidentally turned on his Thunderdome grinder machine. And the music...oh, the music.
Way too dangerous in way too many ways. The first one that comes to mind is the EMT conduit being easily pushed into the blades which will then rip through the lid and into somebody's flesh.
Love the idea. Gotta say, rather dangerous and impractical application. (Yeah, I get the testbed idea). Steak knife blades are not a good idea. Cheap steel, thin kerf, basically is begging one to shatter explosively. Not trying to be a downer, I want to make something similar, but this doesn't seem like a good approach.
✔ High carbon hardened knife blades welded to mystery steel ✔ Balanced blade? Sure who cares?! Whatever! ✔ Angle grinder to spin said blades at 11,000 rpms ✔ Super protective thin plastic to shield from catastrophic failure This all checks out!
When you know what gnosticism is all about you understand they don't bother about the body they call soma ; and focus on the pneuma. They also worship the serpent / snake... Meaning the devil. You'll find plenty of these inverted videos now on YT ; and more perverted ones than the other in the years (or months ?) to come...
Yeah it’s dangerous, but so are most power tools. If you aren’t used to working with dangerous machinery maybe you should stay in the office. To me the most dangerous part of this are those super thin kitchen knives. They could easily break and go through the bucket. The worst part is how fast the blades would dull/breakdown. I’d try to use a old edger blade or something.
Understand this is just a TEST blueprint for an idea. Interesting. Sharp🗡 blades attached to such a flimsy plastic lid, that is resting on a 5 gallon plastic🪣bucket, which is held stationary by legs🦵 and knees, might be pushing 'elf and safety requirements. For viewers without health or accident INSURANCE contemplating constructing this shredder at home, this video would greatly benefit from a much CLEARER caution [you could loose your fingers] disclaimer ⚠⚠ notice. Thanks🙏. Can't wait to see your combined harvester test project!
@@troysantos for starters, he's using a plastic bucket as a frame... if the welds break on the blades, those things are going to shoot through the bucket potentially hitting the operator's legs or someone nearby.
Hi Paolo, I have just given a thumbs down as this is just so dangerous. You know what you are doing, but someone who doesn't could seriously hurt themselves. I know you put the disclaimer up at the beginning but still don't agree that you should have posted this one. Still a subscriber and looking forward to the next video. Cheers, Huw
This is NOT sustainable and will break almost by the time you try it out and look at all the money and time you have wasted by actually working and buying you a real one 100 times better from even harbor freights cheap azz stock… Wasted time just like all of us that almost watched all of this video! 😂
The term "don't try this at home" has never been more appropriate.

HAHAHAHAHAHHA
Better I make a hole in the top of my landmover
Or just run over it with the lawn mower.
Finally, I found what I want. I'd like to apply it for styrofoam shredder. Maybe steel wires can be tried instead of the blade. Good job!

Serious butt clencher😳
Good starting point. Thanks for taking time to share.
Excellent! And you still have all of your fingers at the end of the video
thank you for sharing your video about the DIY SHREDDED MACHINE
I’ve seen angle grinder blades made just for this kind of purpose. That’s already super dangerous. This is just nuts.
Way too dangerous in way too many ways. The first one that comes to mind is the EMT conduit being easily pushed into the blades which will then rip through the lid and into somebody's flesh.
This shouldn't even be allowed on you tube
Great it will chip matchstick size twigs
Exactly. It' perfect for mulching hard trimmings that take too long to compost. Think b4 u type
@@Y_N_K_888 my mower will shred twigs that size.
That's a fine quality tool

Love your invention! Way to think outside the big box store products which are usually made in China!
Where are you located
It's a protype for ideas. I say back to the drawing board. It might cut stewing meat quickly, hopefully not ones own hand😜
I much prefer making things if I can, rather than buying them. This one I am not making.

Bahh...who needs all this safety crap? The next model will be with a chain saw in a 100 l HDPE barrel.. 😂

How many fingers are you missing since you built this?
sir most of our Garbages are coconut stems and giant leaves and were having hard time to cut them
Buy or rent a decent shredder and don't rely on half-assed shit like this contraption.
It is insanely dangerous and completely useless. Love it.
I will make one tomorrow using cardboard box and JB weld.
Yep
It's happening
:D
Link us to the video please much interest
Brilliant
Good idea

You have lot of time in your hands to feed
My lawnmower will eat a huge pile of that ,shredd it and contain it in a box.
A little too dangerous if you ask me
Can you say why it's dangerous?
If a knife gets lose it will visit you outside the plastic
Great work!
A bit fiddly to use but dangerous? The angle grinder by itself could take your fingers off quicker than this machine.
Please remove this video. Your going to have someone get really hurt bad
Can you say why it's dangerous?

@@Nick-tq6vf Thanks much Nick :) I can see why it might be dangerous but wanted to see confirmation. A metal drum would be better :)
Somebody gonna get a hurt real bad

Great sir
I started the video then ff to 2:30, and I'm already scared.
Dude, just cut a hole in the top of a mower deck & stop wasting your time on such a toy...
