Characters like Mo Xuanyu and Shen Jiu (the original Shen Qingqiu from SVSSS) make me crave for their backstories. Their stories were just left hanging, never getting any closure. Especially, in Shen Jiu's case. There was so much more to that character. He was probably one the most complex villain characters of MXTX. ...and we don't even fucking know what the hell happened to his soul? Where did he go? He was just gone and no one even noticed (not even his Qi-ge)...no one really cared. Plus, his backstory from the extras Shen Jiu and Yue Qi left me feeling so hollow and hopeless. Oh god! MXTX can be such a good sadist!!

im crying omg imagine having someone who finally reached out to you and healed you and then you fall in love with them slowly and they fall in love with you too just imagine how wholesome that would be but then behind their smile you notice that they hide some sadness behind their eyes but you dont say anything about and slowly it only gets worse and they become so bent on hatred and revenge that they become the shell of another person altogether just imagine having to watch the person you love most having to go through all of that and you cant do anything about it but you would do everything to see them smile again then after that they meet someone else better than you and they finally smile again but this time its not for you that they smile for so imagine how conflicted you would feel about that

It don't think it could work for the two of them. Nie Huaisang told Mo Xuanyu about the ritual, he remembered it and then, he sacrificed himself to bring Wei Ying back to life. Nie Huaisang, and that's really hard to tell, only used to manipulate this poor boy. He was probably chosen because of his weakness and he's also Jin Guangyao's stepbrother, and they used to be really close- So yeah, Nie Huaisang may had some affection to our little baby Mo Xuanyu, but he never helped him just to be kind, he did this on purpose (Also, I'm a french speaker, and absolutely not an english native, so, if I said something that can be misunderstood, please, tell me and I'll try to explain again-)
I feel sad for the fact that this ship exists but got less attention, well for sure WWX and LWJ is indeed the main ship, but the host(MXY) body have a lovelife too (lol)

He likes him.. but it's too late 'cause he's gone.. he was never able to confess.. Kinda like if both of them also has an extra detailed life mentioned in the story~ Even just some small extra how they live and met.. and how Nei Ning used him (?) Love it!! The original novel. If I could deduce what happened; I would say that Nie Huaisang first met Mo Xuanyu in the Koi Tower. It met in passing and Mo Xuanyu flashed him as smile before following behind Jin Guangyao. The next time they'll meet is most probably when Mo Xuanyu was already banished from Lanling Jin Sect because of his low cultivation and the alleged harassment towards Jin Guangyao. It was also probably the time when he's already being abused in the Mo Manor and his mother passed away. Maybe Nie Huaisang was just passing through Lanling or he was coincidentally in the area where Mo Xuanyu was and when he flashed him that same smile, Nie Huaisang remembered him and his situation. Now, they're both probably in their lowest. Mo Xuanyu was going insane from all the abuse and Nie Huaisang is driven only by his revenge after the death of Nie Mingjue. Maybe Nie Huaisang did stumbled upon Mo Xuanyu then decided to use him against Jin Guangyao. Maybe he saw the desperation in Mo Xuanyu and how he reeks of resentment and the desire to end everything so he just...used what's in front of him and nudged him in the direction of sacrificing his physical body (and inadvertently destroying his soul; never to enter the reincarnation cycle nor exist in any plane of existence) to resurrect the infamous Yiling Patriarch and get his revenge. But it seems that they're both well-aware of each other's demons. Mo Xuanyu had an inkling of his suffering and there was a panel where he tried to reach out to Nie Huaisang only to stop and then the next panel shows him preparing for the ritual (the ritual must've took a few days since he's drawing the array using his own blood and he can't exactly be at death's door when he offer his body to Wei Wuxian). I could only think that Mo Xuanyu did tried understanding and subconsciously tried forming deeper relations with Nie Huaisang; this is a young man who's ridiculed and abused on a daily basis so finding solace in someone or having an inkling of companionship might've tempted him to befriend Nie Huaisang. That's why he's so forward with affectionate actions. But he ultimately decided against it because he knew their own goals and how little time he have left. And so, he decided to never speak of his feelings and just... commence the ritual so he can (1) finally take a rest and (2) for Wei Wuxian to take revenge in his place while Nie Huaisang will finally get his revenge. And so, his should vanished from the world; never to be seen and only remembered by a select few people. But after all is said and done, Nie Huaisang realized that he has absolutely nothing. He had nothing after taking revenge on Jin Guangyao and it's only then that he realized his own feelings for Mo Xuanyu. But he knew it was already far too late - his body already belongs to an old friend who later found his happiness in the arms of the Second Jade of Lan. While he's left with had little memories they shared and the haunting images of Mo Xuanyu overlapping with Wei Wuxian - he'll forever be reminded that Mo Xuanyu is gone and that the man he's seeing is Wei Wuxian. He'll feel bitter over Mo Xuanyu's body being embraced by another but he'll never be able to do anything about it. In the end, they lost more than they gained. They have someone else a chance in happiness. They delivered their revenge like what was planned but Nie Huaisang sure felt at lost after everything. He have nothing and he let go of someone who he had learned to cherish.
WAS THAT SHEN JIU AT THE END WITH MO XUANYU?! Because if it was...OMG! We don't really know what happens when Shen Yuan takes over his body but it would be interesting to see if SQQ and MXY end up in the same space in the MXTX Universe (like in the void or something) and it would be cool to for them to see what the ones who took their bodies do! I just had a great idea for a fanfiction!

The last few videos have actually peaked my interest in MXY. I'm going have to look it up after I've finished replaying this video 😄😅 (Edit:) Okay, so i have checked out the first episode and so far I LOVE IT. The show has amazing art (the characters and the scenery are so beautifully drawn), the story is really interesting, and Mo is an adorable but clever boy (He's my favorite so far😍)! I'm really looking foward to watching more!!!

Maybe Nie Huaisang did stumbled upon Mo Xuanyu then decided to use him against Jin Guangyao. Maybe he saw the desperation in Mo Xuanyu and how he reeks of resentment and the desire to end everything so he just...used what's in front of him and nudged him in the direction of sacrificing his physical body (and inadvertently destroying his soul; never to enter the reincarnation cycle nor exist in any plane of existence) to resurrect the infamous Yiling Patriarch and get his revenge. But it seems that they're both well-aware of each other's demons.
Mo Xuanyu had an inkling of his suffering and there was a panel where he tried to reach out to Nie Huaisang only to stop and then the next panel shows him preparing for the ritual (the ritual must've took a few days since he's drawing the array using his own blood and he can't exactly be at death's door when he offer his body to Wei Wuxian). I could only think that Mo Xuanyu did tried understanding and subconsciously tried forming deeper relations with Nie Huaisang; this is a young man who's ridiculed and abused on a daily basis so finding solace in someone or having an inkling of companionship might've tempted him to befriend Nie Huaisang. That's why he's so forward with affectionate actions. But he ultimately decided against it because he knew their own goals and how little time he have left.
And so, he decided to never speak of his feelings and just... commence the ritual so he can (1) finally take a rest and (2) for Wei Wuxian to take revenge in his place while Nie Huaisang will finally get his revenge. And so, his should vanished from the world; never to be seen and only remembered by a select few people.
But after all is said and done, Nie Huaisang realized that he has absolutely nothing. He had nothing after taking revenge on Jin Guangyao and it's only then that he realized his own feelings for Mo Xuanyu. But he knew it was already far too late - his body already belongs to an old friend who later found his happiness in the arms of the Second Jade of Lan. While he's left with had little memories they shared and the haunting images of Mo Xuanyu overlapping with Wei Wuxian - he'll forever be reminded that Mo Xuanyu is gone and that the man he's seeing is Wei Wuxian. He'll feel bitter over Mo Xuanyu's body being embraced by another but he'll never be able to do anything about it.
In the end, they lost more than they gained. They have someone else a chance in happiness. They delivered their revenge like what was planned but Nie Huaisang sure felt at lost after everything. He have nothing and he let go of someone who he had learned to cherish.
WAS THAT SHEN JIU AT THE END WITH MO XUANYU?! Because if it was...OMG! We don't really know what happens when Shen Yuan takes over his body but it would be interesting to see if SQQ and MXY end up in the same space in the MXTX Universe (like in the void or something) and it would be cool to for them to see what the ones who took their bodies do! I just had a great idea for a fanfiction!

The show has amazing art (the characters and the scenery are so beautifully drawn), the story is really interesting, and Mo is an adorable but clever boy (He's my favorite so far😍)! I'm really looking foward to watching more!!!

Wei Ying (is also called Wei Wuxian, which is his courtesy name) is the grandmaster who founded the Demonic Sect and is hated and feared by a lot of people. One day he was killed by the powerful clans and 13 years later a guy, whose name is Mo Xuanyu (the guy in the video wearing black and red clothes), sacrifices his body to Wei Ying. After returning back to life, he starts a journey with Lan Zhan (is also called by his courtesy name Lan Wangji), a famous cultivator, and the two will try to resolve a mystery.

This is the story of Mo Xuanyu ( before sacrificing his body to Wei Ying) after meeting Nie Huaisang (the guy with long hair and the fan). 3:20 Those two are actually Wei Ying (in Mo Xuanyu's body) and Lan Wangji, whom later in the novel became lovers.
