Yes sir you're right... decisions would always appear imperfect in some other ways but seeking the consequences which benefits the majority leads to a convenient solution...
Sir I was a student of byjus IAS where I attended your ethics classes and I must say it was a wonderful session. Your real life examples were really helpful to understand the depth of the topic. Thank you sir.

Drugs reintroduction after knowing it's consequences make it critically difficult lopsided decision .. In the case of drug reintroduction , the stand i will take utilitatrian approach, where birth rate is more than the AIDS patient, because reintroducing the drug might help the aids, hangsen patient . I believe more research is needed, as these are two distinct conditions with different implications. However, a pregnant woman could also be an AIDS or leukemia patient, so it is crucial to focus on eliminating the side effects of the drug in such cases. This treatment should be reserved for the most urgent situations, as its use is highly case-dependent until the side effects are fully addressed. I would suggest introducing the drug, but not prescribing it to pregnant women by default. Instead, it should be a stringent, controlled medication, only allowed under specific circumstances.
Regarding the drug question, As there are facts wirh respect to the detrimenral side effects of the drug, it must not be an option in the first place. Rather it can be used as a last resort after rigorous testing given its positive effects on AIDS patients.
Answer: reintroduction of thalidomide: Consulting the respective stakeholders . Get Conclusion about past reported cases and future implications in non pregnant female Understanding the other alternatives available and how importance of drug to be used for Aids and Leprosy After proper clinical trials in India, Can be approved under schedule h lisr
The main question is that this drug has harmed the unborn babies in the past, so whether this drug to be relied upon in future to save people of hansen disease not. By allowing the drug we might save lot of lives, and by not allowing drug are save lives which might be lost due to side-effect of the drug. In earlier case the death of babies was unintended consequence of the drug, which was not forseen in trial, or might have been overlooked by the greed of company by the company who manufactured. In my opinion drug should be allowed after extensive trials by non partisan agency.
