@5:00 Mine were also very stiff to start out, thankfully over extended use they became more fluid and easier to pull focus with. Good review. One thing image quality wise that make these incredible is their complete and utter lack of CA anywhere. I think they should have labelled them APO lenses due to this.
Great looking footage. Despite the 1.33x squeeze these look like pretty interesting lenses - not sure how much your oval bokeh cut out featured in the test footage but what you've shot looks great. They're perhaps a little pricier than I'd like but maybe that price will drop a bit when other upcoming competitors hit the market. Really, really hoping they're considering a neutral flare option too, that would make them a lot more compelling to me. Just subbed :)
Another kick ass video!!! Thanks for making this man, as an owner of mostly 16x9 cameras including the ol’ Alexa classic, I find these VERY tempting! Cheers
Viltrox is currently running a photo contest with $15000 in prizes to be won, see info on it here.

if you have any questions, let me know!!
Is any if your sample footage shot on S35? I'd love to see some examples as most test footage i've seen on these is FF.
yes, all the stuff with the blonde girl, and the stuff with the group at night. @@NicholasGalanteFilms
Would love to compare à viltrox 50 1.33 and a Nisi 50 + moment 1.33 adapter on opengate 3:2
Sorry I don’t have the nisi / moment
Your sample footage with this lens looks fantastic. Were you using any optical diffusion? Or did you achieve the halation/diffusion in post?
Thanks, nope, any look you see is just lighting and grading.
@@TheFilmGuyOfficial Good to know, thanks! I ordered the set this morning, can't wait to play with them.
Great video but the white letterbox is anxiety inducing
Hahaha 🤣 I prefer it for this stuff!
I just tried to stick a letter in my screen.
not sure what that means!
@@TheFilmGuyOfficial Uh. Google "letterbox". You might also want to Google "letter", since you're twelve.
@@riparianlife97701 oh letterbox 🤣 haven’t used one since I was 12!
