When I was eighteen I worked for a traveling harvest crew out of Kansas. I drove trucks in the fields next to the cutters. One of the guys on the crew bought some land in Colorado near Pagosa Springs . ( Which is a slightly touristy town that smells like sulpher.) I was surprised how big the mountains were. Some were snow capped with the tops in the clouds. I didn`t realize that in some of the higher elevations it snowed in the summer. I am sure it was a different animal compared to the east coast. We went through wolf creek pass. I have enjoyed watching most of your videos. Sure beats anything on tv these days.
Loved the photos at the end. And the thumbnail. A great touch … But more importantly, we did it! Congratulations again. This was a trail that won’t be forgotten, and an experience that won’t be forgotten, both individually and together. Thanks for taking/dragging me along! For sure without a doubt we’ll hike together again (though less than 30-50 miles total please.)
I just wanted to share how much your videos mean to me… I am a quadriplegic, and can no longer do backpacking due to trails like that being totally inaccessible LOL and when I watch your videos it’s like I’m out on the trail ❤
This was just the best series and I’m sad it’s over. Watching you and Evan and your different perspectives in videos added a the authentic experience. Thank you for sharing so many of your thoughts and emotions with us. That thumbnail was perfection.

I am getting very excited watching your videos. It’s early morning and I am heading off to work. This is my last year of work and at the end of August my dog Maggie and I will be driving from the East Coast to Colorado to hike this trail. Your video are helping me to plan my resupply days and schedule. Compared to something like the AT or LT the trail looks much less brutal. Let’s hope. Toco is a complete badass. I have cried many times on the trail for unknown reasons. I love Taco. You still have it and always will. When I lived in Colorado it took months to get used the altitude. We lived around 7500 ft. So coming from Tennessee was a huge difference. You did great! I get sad when your trips end! Loved being on the trail with you!

The rain, hail, lightening, cold, and altitude, wow what a hike!!! I loved this last video wrapping it up and the little bit emotion was fitting! I could never do what you do on my best days when I was fit. Such an awesome journey. Sad that Evan is retiring from thru hikes, but he was amazing! Oh and two birthdays during this hike!! Just awesome!! Taco was amazing too, some of the terrain I watched her on was indeed dicey! She deserves a months rest! Well I'm sad that it's over but relieved too that you all get to go home, be with your loved ones and know that this was indeed a major accomplishment!!🎉🎂🥵🥶🏆

Hey!! Some friends and I did the trail from 8/8-9/16, just got back.Your videos helped me feel a lil more confident before going into it and I'm watching this one now reminiscing hahaha. What a beautiful place. Thanks for documenting your journey :) I got caught in basically 4 days straight of precipitation from Silverton to Durango too but it cleared up beautifully on the last day for an amazing send off. Happy trails!!!!
