The arrogance to imply that if you think she was being overly dramatic (or grifting, because that's 99% of TH-cam) that we don't understand. I was one who said she was a drama queen and I understand because I'm sober myself, just like probably most people who came across this channel. And I'll stand by it, the entire video in the way it was presented was "sky is falling, woe is me". The fraud paranoia was simply irrational and illogical.

There’s an episode of mom that touches on the issue of accidental consumption when you are in recovery. It is very funny but the most important part is you didn’t choose to take a sip of alcohol, it was an accident, so yes you are 10 years sober..no fraud here, just an awesome young woman putting herself out there ❤
You had it right at the end of the last video you said “ if you don’t understand, fudge you!” and you’re absolutely correct, there are going to be those who have no reference to those of us who truly honor our sobriety! I loved the video and I am happy that you just get on here and get real! I found you many years ago when you were doing the trail and I watched every single video. It’s good to see you’re doing well.

I understand your journey. My story is about the tale of 2 friends. One came out the other side and she is still here living life. The other friend did not come out the other side. He has been gone for over 20 years. I miss him dearly. You just keep doing you; you are the only one who can do that. You have my respect and support.

But I do understand commitment and definitely appreciate the level of commitment it must take to achieve such a goal. Keep up the good work! That accidental sip did not make you “unsober”….you are still 10 years sober. Life will have plenty of battles…you have to decide which battles you want to fight. The fact that you completed the AT tells me everything that is you..🎉 About 12 years ago my partner and I went to our favourite restaurant here in Melbourne, Australia. It was fancy and expensive. We ordered Virgin Mary's and were very specific about this because we were recovering alcoholics. The drinks waiter was a smart ass so he brought us Bloody Mary's to our table, you know, just for shits and giggles. We took one sip and knew we were in trouble. You see we were on a medication where you cannot have alcohol in your body otherwise you become very unwell! The waiter admitted that he had put Vodka in our drinks. We were so sick for about 4 hours after this. He was flippant to us and unrepentant. Management however were wonderful and gave us a full refund. You don't always know what you're going to get even if you do order a Mocktail.😮 I know this story isn't the same as yours but I was reminded of it watching your video!❤💖

You shine girl and this 65 year old lady sees a young woman who quite frankly blows me away with all that you accomplish in your life! So just know you have folks out here that appreciate you and all that you've either taught us about dreads or hiking or just living life to it's fullest. Have you considered a 10 day silent meditation retreat? It’s a challenge but so insightful. Research Vipassana retreat. Course is free to attend, operates solely on donations, and are secular by nature. Pretty incredible in this day and age.
You know, I don't like to bash recovery groups/organizations because addiction isn't a one size fits all proposition, and so neither will be the management of addiction. But I don't like the token system, these trinkets you can only have if you did the thing 100%. I think those groups mean well, but...real life is messy. And I can't help but wonder how things like that actually sabotage people's recovery. Does a single backslide somehow negate years of sobriety? I honestly don't think so! And that's what I argued for in your last video. Life usually isn't about any one moment in particular, it's about averages. A single happy day doesn't negate years of depression, nor vice versa. I don't think it's healthy to have these all-or-nothing style ... boundaries? Rules? It commoditises recovery, and that's not healthy no matter how you cut it. You're killing it, Liz. And your honesty about it was very brave. Just make sure you're walking forward with pride in your effort.
Practical, rational words. Agree on recovery groups. Personally, AA wasn't for me with their myopic, extremist view. Some people need that mentality to stay sober, others don't.
I'm sure if Mother Teresa had a TH-cam she would have thousands of haters people are sad and unhappy and take it on other people unfortunately. You are amazing and appreciate your content but if it ever becomes too much I hope you choose to quit and take care of you

You Liz are hands down the most real, entertaining, phaucking youtube r that I've seen. The only thing I would fault you on, is that there are not 100more Liz Kidder.vids out there to waist my time with. And we haven't even talked about those Phaucken awesome daring intense handstands that make look like walking in the park. Liz, th e best compliment I think anyone could ever give an adventure r youtuber is that I'm pretty darn sure that if I hu g out with y I u and ur man, I would really kinda already know you and could see hanging withe either of you for a lovely time..
