His d4 to -12 is huge for me. Jin was an easy character to remember low punishes for cause everything was -13 or above. Especially as an occasionally Kazuya player Twin Pistoning everything became natural. Now it's gonna be ws 44 or ws 12.
I know how you feel. I used to be scared to use lows in general against Kazuya and Capos since they could launch all of his. Now I feel more comfortable using lows to open up these characters when they get defensive. Fantastic change!
The new transition to a stance alongside with the new hibox for his sidstep punch from a stance made a big difference for me. I’ve invented my own combos that I now use more instead of staple once. I’ve even made my own version of 100$ combo ;) (ewhf , stance into 3+4 , back 3 forward 1 , back 3 forward 2. It deals pretty darn good damage and it’s easier than the original one).
Snake Fang I’m more than willing to share ;). Also try : on counter hit down froward 4 , down back 3 , full rage drive. It deals a lot of damage and if you don’t have rage you can just do the usual back 3 forward 1 , back 3 forward 2 instead.
Snake Fang Also my main combo nowadays is : electric thrusting uppercut , back 3 forward 1 , 1 2 4 , dash in to enemies tips of their feet then back 3 forward 2. If you run in too close it will miss or not combo so they might dodge it or even punish it. If you don’t make it close enough it will be a little bit more safe but still punishable. P.S. I’m writing all of those combos because of 2 things : 1. I’m happy someone appreciated my combo 2. I just hit green ranks and I’m really excited (Yeah I don’t really have time to play Tekken that often because of the university studies and I’m easily enraged by spam or just loose streaks overall...) P.S.S. I’ve probably said too much so I’ll just crouch dash away from the scene kappa
I just realized that 3,1,f and I immediately search jin new moves and as I expected that is new, nice update for jin, and that 4 on counter made me confuse as hell at first time 🤣

It's too early to say who will be top 3. Especially with the emergency patch that's coming soon. As for Jin, he was already in a great spot in Season 1 and he has several effective moves he can rely on. EWHF, 4, f+4, ff+2, and all of his moves from CDS come to mind when I think of effective moves.
Snake Fang top 3 !!!! mostly Kazuya , Lars and Heihachi are broken . Jin is still a middle good Choose for me to enjoy real fighting . Kazuya can kill with one combo and Jin is a good one to play against Kazuya.
I say better overall. The damage on some of his combos like Hellsweep and wall combos have gone up thanks to his new 3,1 transition. His new stun from CH 4 lets him juggle from the front without the need to go off axis or just settling for a low damage back combo, which already buffs his damage from CH 4. His CDS2 can stop his opponents from side rolling on wake-up. And he finally has a low that can't be launched by anyone now, which helps his low game against characters like Kazuya and Eddy. The only thing he really lost was the insane tracking for his unblockable and safety on a move that could easily be interrupted by a jab (d/f+1,4~4).
Snake Fang can jin become a top A tier character??? and why they don’t care about him like Kazuya??? Kazuya is so awesome now he has an unstoppable moves.
This balance patch shows that they do care about Jin. He doesn't have as many changes as Kazuya because he didn't need that many. For top tier, it depends on how the other characters were treated in the update. Only time will tell.
