Our current governor gavin newsome stopped all executions several years ago, and put a moratorium on them. Which means these monsters get to live despite all the pain the victims families have endured and the fact that a superior court judge and jury gave them the justice they sought. Only to have a progressive/liberal governor show absolutely no mercy for the victims families.

Many very wealthy people stand to make a lot of money from jailing and feeding as many people as humanly possible. My guess is that is exactly why a death sentence is typically delayed decades or more. Pinching pennies so to speak.
But I don’t get it when that reporter says that the majority of the nation wants to abolish the death penalty because I would question where did she get her information. States that do not have the death penalty or have voted it down. Did not take a vote on it from the People.
