Bro you have a beast of a machine. When it came out 3 years ago, some TH-camrs devalued the MV1, saying that it was a toy, that it was for beginners and even the selling price had dropped (€800.00 ->400.00€) and now it's back up to 699.00€... I bought it for 400.00€. When you have a verselab people don't imagine what you can do with it by using a microphone, a synthesizer which in the meantime is a midi controller, with a mixer you can even use two synthesizers, and add a audio source to the mixer for sampling. He's a studio beast.
I'm glad this machine is working for someone! I picked one up for a couple hundred and found it to have an oddly backwards (to me anyways) UI. I need to probably try to integrate the app a little more but it feels like roland just wants to push soundpacks with app and not necessarily make music easier :/
With it being analog it forces you to really be hands on! It takes time and patience. I'm going to make videos on what I "couldn't" find on TH-cam to help guide on this equipment.
@@FlatWHDF Not nitpicking but i'm guessing you mean analog type interface not the mv-1 itself, its a digital machine with 'virtual circuit modeling' and DSP. If you don't have an fully analog synth in your life yet id highly recommend grabbing a cheap one to play around with, like the behringer td-3 or donner b-1 (I adore my b-1). both of those are analogue bass synths, or something a little pricier like moog mavis with more sound shaping ability, that way you can create sounds and sample into the mv-1! Not knocking digital synths in any way, they have their advantages over analog synths the same way analog has certain advantages over digital, they're all musical!
Many people don't know how this piece of technology is like a Swiss army knife for the bedroom producer. It can be wired to anything. It can sample from anything to any pad. It has over 3k of sounds. The list goes on and on. Monster hardware for any type of music. My MPC One is collecting dust. You have hit the nail on the head .....keep on up with it. Make more videos and show how doing it. Nice work !
Amazing video…is there a way to disable my parameter control knobs ? My 1st control knob is acting glitchy and wanted to turn off as a master to where I don’t have to turn off manually on every session
This thing is the best Roland all in one groovebox, I think. It takes a minute to wrap your head around it’s quirks but it’s worth it because it’s got everything you need in there. A very underrated feature is the low power draw too. I took mine camping off grid for a week last year, ran it off a phone power bank. The bank dropped 10% after a week.

Thats what i love about the mv-1, it makes you create finished tracks. Now all you need to do is get the verses & hook recorded!
Keep bangin 🎹👊🏾
Facts man! I love the work flow too! I love creating with this machine.
I had one of these and I sold it 😢
Man ZZounds got it online still! Go grab one!!

I love this instrument
What are they like compared to mpcs ? They seem dope
They aren't really compared to any of them. Your can record an entire song, mix, and master it. DOPE

I'll have an answer for you soon.
Fire 🔥
Thank you!!!!!!!! Appreciate it fam
I sold mine for the MPC live.
Big regretful mistake. Sold the mpc and now waiting for a lower cost mv1
Yeaaaaaaaa man cook up!!!!
Update. Got the MV1 and everything it touches is gold baby. So good 😊
can you record electric guitar on Verslab?
Yes you can!!!! The sampling is a bit old school yet it's fun

Which power Bank you have. I need to invest!!!
How does anyone compare this to an Elektron Rytm ?
They have similar work flow
Are the sounds okay
The sounds are great! Of course you can add more with a SD card
