I disagree on denault not being a impactful player. I’m pretty sure he has the most game timing goals , he works hard . I agree on pretty much everything else .

For me the test of your character is how you handle adversity and the Kings have some uncertainty coming next season to figure out. Fans who face adversity poorly are usually that way in life. As long as things are going your way cool. But if there not, shut up. I am usuallly pretty calm. I want to see what's going to happen. Good or bad. My happiness in life isn't dependant on whether the Kings win or lose. I will still love this team.

One of the areas Kings really need to thrive is the In Game Adjustment. It's like when they were countered, they didn't answer and /or know how to adjust during games, especially during playoffs.

That's the difference between a real fan and a bandwagon fan. Bandwagon fans aren't in the trenches. They only show up to plant the flag. I think it is a hollow victory. Real fans pay the price along with the team in the trenches so when the team finally emerges you can own it with pride because you've paid the price along with the team.

Remember the kings were 1st in the league and first in every advanced stat through the first 33 games and won 12 in a row on the road for a nhl record all time ! That situation is actually still there if the kings have the fitness level , passion and coaching! However I would question all 3 , however it’s not impossible for them to dominate and surprise everyone! Except me ! Because if I was the coach we’d be that team with this roster ! I’d take the job for free and only get paid if I achieved it !

It obvious Kings fans are frustrated being eliminated by Edmonton the past 3 seasons, each time a game sooner, and then Blake's postseason wrap-up interview where he indicated "we were so close" which didn't resonate well with many Kings fans either. The Kings won two cups because each player put up intensity and fulfilled their role and obligations to produce. The Kings being washed out in round one demonstrated they didn’t possess and execute dominance. Hockey is a unique sport where dominance on the ice can be proven by certain metrics from each player. Dominance means playing with authority, puck control, forcing errors, and putting the opponent on its heels and turn overs. This 5 game series with Edmonton on balance showed clearly the Kings couldn’t compete with dominance and puck control with getting prime shots and rebounds. This season this team needs in October and November to prove they dominate on the ice and control the action. If not, this coach must go and get one that can create an atmosphere and drive to be a dominant controlling hockey team.

Blake, for whatever reason, dismantled the front office team that built the Stanley Cup teams. Since he drove out Futa, our drafts and trades have been sub par. Since he drove out Solomon, our cap management has been horrible leaving us no room to maneuver. Blake removed Ranford from his coaching duties and working with goalies by "promoting" him and brought in a new coach and our goaltending has been below average. DL was successful because he put together a great front office group which Blake has dismantled and now we are worse than we were when DL left. Let's not forget the head coach merry-go-round including the wasted 6 months of Willie D, all chosen by Blake. As long as he is here, we will remain a subpar team that can't get past the first round of the playoffs.

It was jkc bringing his skinny little butt back to L.A.-totally unwanted-when McNall pulled the trigger. but blake has been swimming with sharks for a long time. Eventually, you get bitten (oh, you didn't know he remains adamant about surfing. Anyway, I had really liked Lombardi and he totally let us down by swinging and missing and then trading off some really good players to keep his a** afloat. He should've drowned by his moves...and so it turned out. Now, blake is in that position. Honestly, I don't see them making the playoffs this coming season, but welcome back Mr. Keumper. Oh ya, to those defending their draft picks, remember, when they trade off their top picks, they are detracting from future teams.
I think we need a small violin to play for this anonymous person lol you've been annoyingly positive on alot of these shows so this one was more realistic just my opinion. A fan can be as positive or negative as they want but to demand a podcast change to their own personal liking is just silly.
This episode wasn’t negative, it was fair. However, most of the last few months have been so negative I’ve stopped watching and listening to the podcast everyday. If we were a bottom barrel team it’d be fair, if we projected to miss the playoffs by a lot next you it’d be fair. But, this is a playoff team that we’re talking about. We’re tired of losing to the greatest hockey player in the league. The fan base is in a rut from being bounced in the first round again, so the negativity is a reinforcing echo chamber. Some of the numbers don’t match the sentiment.
