  • To finish off the Liverpool Rail Relics Series for now, here is a little compilation of some other bits of railway heritage around the city, including sections of the Overhead Railway gantry, GWR warehouse at Albert Dock and Midland Railway Shed at Whitechapel.

    Don't forget Dingle Tunnel (The Southern Extension which still survives and in the Liverpool Museum (near to the left of the Great Western Railway building is, there's a surviving train from the Overhead Railway too!

      That's one I want to cover in a future video. I believe Dingle Station also still exists and is a garage now. I live quite close to Liverpool so I'm planning another trip hopefully later in the year. I did a video with the Overhead Railway carriage last week. It really is a fantastic relic. Shame though that you can't go in it now. I went a few years ago and you could go in then

      @@RWHTrains yes I have been in there around 2000 and even videod it but no longer have the footage sadly, the guys who worked there there loved it, even had books on the Overhead Railway too, from what I’ve seen from other TH-camrs who have been recently, you can still traverse the whole tunnel but where it collapsed it narrows slightly.
