We got the opportunity to visit Merazonia a couple of times, is an amazing place where all the people work hard for the animals and their rehabilitation. Visit, donate, help...
I guess that's cool but what you are doing really is taking pets from people and im guessing in a lot of those situations they are not as happy or have the care they should but in other situations these are people who love them and when you love something you take care of it and they know that . Then you just bring them to a plave that is yes closer to there environment or that "would have been" there environment but now there just one of dozens of other animals and there in a cage . I don't see that as a win situation for all these animals. and definitely for the owners, but the law is the law.
I don't think that's what usually happens. These animals are probably not very easy to care for and become expensive or a nuisance. People would do this with alligators in the states and once the got too big would flush them or something. Besides if an animal is very habituated to humans they cannot be released back into the wild anyways
Im going to be here in three weeks and im so freaking excited
Zoe, the Amazon looks like such a beautiful place. What an awesome project and what a great video. Thank you so much for sharing.
I've been a volunteer over there, it's amazing
