I have stayed here twice and both times have been really good. No issues with bugs or roaches and room was clean. No issues so for what we paid it was fine. I would give 3 out of 5. It's a older motel and I will say that I have stayed at a lot more high paid motels and looked worse then this place.
Stayed here once they put me in a room that had no roof . Nails and rubbish was in our room so they had to put us in a street side room. The cover felt like paper and the pillows was paper thin 🙄
My fiance and I are still scarred from our place. I am so sorry you had to go through that as well. Captains Quarters saved us in the end. Very nice and reasonable as well.
I wish I had seen this video months ago when I booked my room, but now that I'm seeing it 1 day before heading out to Myrtle Beach I am sick, and scared.. I called the hotel back and I keep getting a Jamaican lady(different one each time but always Jamaican) one who literally called me a liar! about the fact I ordered a room for Ocean Plaza Hotel, she said that's a lie that I'ma tellen Saar(that's how she spoke) anyway she told me the Ocean Plaza costs more and Karen the manager would have never switched me from that hotel to Polynesian Hotel.. but she assured me they have no bed bugs and rooms are fine.. but she sounded sketchy and I doubt she was actually even at the hotel because when I called back I got another Jamaican lady RUDE like the first.. I only booked because the first time in February I spoke with a very very friendly lady named Karen who now is on vacation and they told me their both the managers..
You get what you pay for at Myrtle Beach as well as any other hotel. You cant be real nit picky about every little thing in an old hotel built in the early 1900s. Alot of those people that own these hotels either dont have alot money for a full renovation or they choose to not put alot of money into them due to the fact of partying and people just destroying the property. I mean it is Myrtle Beach. Next time try down the road in Charleston.

My girlfriend and I just about booked a room here, glad I saw this first
i stayed there....ordered..pizza..
and the delivery driver...wouldn't come to the door...
i had to walk in the rain....to get my food...
Everyone who travels should know to NEVER stay at ANY Motel that has doors that open to the OutSide

Just got a room there 103 a night 400 for 3 nights, I'm little confused on why you thought it was a Resort
To hope for clean linens no bed bugs and a fuse box that isn't going to catch fire while you sleep is not asking for a resort, go troll somewhere else

Should a motel offer pots and pans and all that u look like you yourself live in trailer what did u expect for your money u spent lol
If you pay for a kitchen like they did then yes they come fully equipped with pots, pans and utensils 😊
