    I got married traditionally and my husband's family brought their church pastor to be present and oversee the proceedings. When l told my best friend who is christian that l had been married, she told me that l wasnt married and living in sin. She would always urge me to have a church wedding which really bought doubt, confusion and pain to me because my family and my husband's family recognised my marriage but my best friend was telling me its not valid. Because there is no scripture that specifically addresses it, after sometime l started believing that maybe l was not married until one time l was online and saw Pastor Chris also saying a marriage was not only considered a marriage because it happened in church. This has brought healing to me. I will continue honoring the convenant l made to God to love, submit and pray for my husband.

    A man of God could also be invited to the traditional wedding to bless the couple and commit them to God. God is honoured in the marriage provided they didn't do it in the name of any other God but in His. It must not be in the church..

    It's only in Nigeria that we do 3 marriage ceremonies and called the church one "white wedding"🙄

    You said it all pst K. Alot of ladies have been on pressure of this white wedding, to them if they haven't done it they don't feel married. White wedding is a necessity not mandatory

    Is "The God factor not present at traditional marriages?". The last I checked God is omnipresent and honours the prayers of our parents (authority figures) over our lives.

      I concur. 💯 Feel he intentionally didn't want to frame it the way you put it.
      Thinking of it, praying to GOD is the only unique thing thing that happens in a church wedding. Same can be done in the traditional or even court...

      Do you think that’s the only thing done in church wedding, I guess you have not been to a church wedding. You need better understanding of what he said.
      There is definitely a difference between a video call and seeing someone physically even though same conversation can happen in both ways but I bet you can tell the difference

      PK did not say the God factor is not found in a traditional wedding, infact he said even if that's the only one you can do given in your traditional practice you don't do things that are an abomination to God

    Yes I agree with you, because as a believer,you need the blessing of your Pastor after the traditional marriage,if you don't want to do wedding in the church

    How about when the couple doesn't have enough money to add the church wedding, so can they invite their Pastor to both the customary and civil wedding to pray for them along with fellow believers?

    • @ibingoshuaibubok5610
      @ibingoshuaibubok5610 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      Sometimes Pastors or Clergys are invited and called upon to bless the couple at traditional or civil right marriages. Isn't this part of the "God factor"? Does GOD only honour prayers that are said in a building called church? Where 2 or 3 are gathered I will be there, if the couple are believers that makes it two, plus one more = 3 and GOD is present, prayers OFFERED
      there will be honoured and answered by GOD.

      U don't need money to have a church wedding, I don't think it church will charge u for using the auditorium. U don't need to decorate the church n u don't need any special dress neither do u need to give anyone gifts

      @@RICHBECKS_naturals we actually had a sister who did her church wedding like that, they wore their ordinary clothes, before our Sunday sharing of the word started they called them , read scriptures, blessed them said you may now kiss the bride, that was it, till today they are married, they didn't pay for the building it was a Sunday service anyway, we had no food and drinks after we shared the grace we went home. God definitely honours that

    My opinion is that a Christian couple should involve their Church leadership in their marriage.
    Also, the couple have to agree beforehand which point will they consider themselves to be fully married and make it known to their Church leadership. The couple should decide whether it is at the traditional marriage or after the Church wedding.
    And in the Traditional marriage, the Church leader or representative should be present to witness the marriage and to pray for them.

    Personally, im not sure yet if i want a Church wedding. Itd be nice, but I've known Believers who got married on acreages, outside the mountains, etc. as long as its Kingdom and covenant, that's what is important. Not every believer has a Church wedding. Would it be nice? Absolutely. Is it gods plan for me to be married in the Church? Not sure. Whatever he reveals. His plans over my own.

    Can one do only a church wedding apart from traditional wedding ?

  • @Michelle_Ezike
    @Michelle_Ezike 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Well, to me, if you don’t do a church wedding doesn’t mean you’re not honoring God. Infact, God will still use a man (pastor) to pray for you. Your father’s prayers will still cover you. However , you can still go to a pastor to pray for the union. You don’t need to wear white gown and suit.

    • @Michelle_Ezike
      @Michelle_Ezike 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just by your parents being in agreement, you’re honoring God

    Exactly what makes a union between two people be considered as marriage in Gods eyes?
    Is it the approval of the parents
    The exchanging of vows before you pastors?
    Is it the standards people have set, for example the court system?
    What makes a marriage legal in heaven??
    Cause to me culture, church wedding and court wedding sounds like standards put by man

  • @achukwuLeke
    @achukwuLeke 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Well said sir. But pls with due respect sir. In your introduction you made mention of Angel's "inability" to make Choice and have Free Will like man ( 1:50 ) which I believe isn't true as scriptures reveal.
    From scriptures, both man and angels (both being sons of God), in the course of fulfilling thier purpose of creation have the power to choose God in obedience or reject Him in disobedience.
    Ps: A proof of our love for God is in Obedience. (Jesus says in John 14:15; if you love me, you'll keep my commandments)
    2 Peter 2:4 speaks of the angels who sinned and rebelled.
    Roman 5:12 speaks of the man who sinned
    God bless you 🙏

    PK, please, can you do a church wedding on a beach or garden?

    • @Abishaiah
      @Abishaiah 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Adam & Eve in the Bible got married in a garden so according to the Bible you can marry in a garden. As a beliver you can marry in any location, so far as it is not compromised by being a known altar of the enemy or an occult temple for example. The Holy Spirit will bear witness in your spirit when a place is okay too.

      That's not what he said. He said traditional wedding is recognized by God by because of its informal nature, you just need to get your marriage registered by the law of the land. However, if that's all you can afford, good. You are married. God is there.

  • @Thepampereddaughteroftheking

    Also I believe that if your parents believe that they have fully given you out in marriage only after the church wedding, then you are not fully married and should not partake in marital activities.

  • @CharlesGwany
    @CharlesGwany 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Sir thank you for the work you do. However I strongly disagree with you. While it's OK for a Christian to do a traditional wedding the Christian most also do a church wedding in his or her own church in the presence of God, the Holy angles and the saints of God. That's for the Christian it's a most. Intact a Christian can't touch his wife a vice versa till the church wedding is done. Shalom

      Is doesn't anywhere say in the Bible that you have to have a wedding at your Church.
      We have to be careful that we aren't letting tradition sway people into what God has for us. If it was in scripture, sure. But people can get married wherever God leads them.
