- Private demo playthrough of @DARRENZCONGAMES's upcoming PoR ROM hack "The Shadow Rebirth", starring Juste Belmont and Maxim Kischine, going through mostly familiar places in Dracula's Castle.
This ROM hack has no leveling up allowing for better non-linear progression like Lament of Innocence, so the Hard Mode level cap doesn't really matter for anything besides the reward items gotten when beating the game.

We agree that this looks like the DEFINITIVE castlevania hack-rom fan-game.
It has such a level of detail that it even seems like an individual Fan-game like Lecarde Chronicles 1&2 or Seal of the Curse, it is very difficult to believe that this is a hack of Portrait of Ruin
And it's not even finished yet!!

This get me excited! I still remember the DoS definitive edition+ that was a masterpiece! The only issue for this one since it's in early stage, the character movement can be improved, (shadow trails) and the fluidity of the animation for walking and running. Anyways, I trust this project since I played one of their creations already.
Shout out also to Fat T-800 Albert "Edvard" I played Rondo of Ruin! Feels like a true sequel to me! :)

giving the weapon some actual combo needs to be in every 2d castlevania game. any chance that you can give both jonathan and richter the same animations as well . can the 3rd attack for the whip is the whip spin but faster followed by a somersault downward strike from the whip.
Castlevania is not that kind of game. Maria in rondo of blood tends to be considered "easy mode" exactly because her attacks can combo enemies. So much that it has a shorter range to compensate for the reduced challenge.
