The Collector sounds like he has explained this a billion times before and is so done with it.
Just his accent
The Collector is one of the Elders of the Universe, an immortal being billions of years old. So is the Grandmaster, though the MCU writers chose to make a buffoon of him. Ego, the living planet, was also considered an Elder, though the MCU writers chose to fuck that up and have him call himself a Celestial.
The collecter is 14,770,000,000 years old living that much would get you bored out of your mind
@@shards8300 especially if you're living your life just collecting stuffs. The Grandmaster looks more happy than the collector probably because he watches gladiator everyday lol

Just like real life, at one point the Atomic Bomb was considered the pinnacle of Warfare but nowadays we have weapons that make it look like a Firecracker.

I know where you got the paperweight idea from and im not gonna say the show but for a clue i will just say "it is adorable you think you can manipulate me.
The atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II-codenamed "Little Boy" and "Fat Man," respectively-caused widespread destruction, leveled cities, and killed between 90,000 and 166,000 people in Hiroshima (about 20,000 of which were soldiers), and between 39,000 and 80,000 in Nagasaki.
☢️ You love nuclear. So do we. Let's nerd out over nuclear together.
These are the only two nuclear weapons ever used in warfare, and let's hope it stays that way, because some of the nuclear weapons today are more than 3,000 times as powerful as the bomb dropped on Hiroshima.
The largest nuclear weapon ever detonated, the Tsar Bomba, set off by the Soviet Union in 1961, produced an insane 50-megaton blast-about 3,333 times more powerful than the Little Boy bomb that leveled an entire city.
The animation with the machine working the orb open is so satisfying to watch.

I love how there's always a character like this in comics, whose role is to 'collect and preserve' all of the most dangerous artifacts. Its crazy when you remember that the Collector and Grandmaster are timeless beings called Elders, that are capable of wielding the stones the same as Celestials, and that the Collector almost had two, and if he was actively pursuing them wouldve had four pretty easily, and would only struggle for the time and soul stone.
Kinda mind fucking that the Elders can potentially pose a larger threat than Thanos and Dormamu posed if they truly wanted. They have the power, influence, wealth, mass support, and wisdom, all they needed now, was motivation. Which, hilariously is what both of them lacked due to being so old. 14 billion plus years robs them of any long term entertainment that the two Elders we know in the MCU for the most part have pretty laid back hobbies
And the (buffed muscular ) Collector indeed took Thanos place in What if :v
The Elders have fixations like psychopaths, whatever their fixation is, it becomes their primary goal in life. If one of them had fixated on something akin to it, they would rofl stomp almost anyone else in the universe trying to stop them, because they, basically are unkillable unless their mental fixation dies out, they are mentally based beings that only really cease when their will to exist stops.

I think we will see Collector and Grandmaster together.
Nomad Lord Seeing as their plots are still central and well likely be seeing mistress death, Adam warlock, Thane, Galactus and several other even more powerful villains come soon, I doubt it'll be disappointing.
Nomad Lord There's still Galactus, possibly Apocalypse rebooted when Disney gets fox, Adam Warlock/Magus, Eternity, and grandmaster and tivan are likely still alive. They are too crafty to be killed that easily, and even then are barred from deaths realm, so they would just take a different form. They've also been too well developed and hyped, and we've still only really seen two so far. Grandmaster survived his crash on Sakaar by the way, along with topaz, and when it showed them breaking out of their crashed ship, they had a mob before them. However, a mob of regular people would be no match for him lol. And we didn't see tivan die, we saw an illusion of him created by the reality Stone. No one knows if he's alive or dead, same with Hela. Low and behold, most thought red skull died. I didn't, and he returned as the keeper of the soul stone.
