    I take magnesium orally to help with bowl movements and sleep but I’ve heard it helps with muscle cramps too.
    It could be good to ask your midwife if the oral version would be better vs spraying yourself (especially if you’re like me and have very sensitive skin)

    I’m so excited to get pregnant. I’ve got multiple friends who are moms, new moms, or currently pregnant. My best friend and her husband are trying for their second and I’m loving having her as a buddy. To support and be supported by. Of the two of us, I’m the planner, the reader. So we’ve already talked about her difficulties and ideas we’ve come up with to try to combat them if she has them this time around, based upon things I’ve read and seen.
    Your videos have been super informative and helped set me at ease.

    Important: non diluted magnesium burns when you’re low on magnesium. You can dilute it your self with a natural oil, if you don’t have the undiluted version. But it’s a good indicator to know where you’re at -if it burns or not.
    It burned for me too when I first started using it, but gradually stopped. :)

    FTM and currently 17 weeks! I have felt absolutely so lucky to have nearly no symptoms during my pregnancy! Still waiting to pop but this is helpful to know if I start getting more normal symptoms!

    Another idea for support and socializing: find the baby storytimes at your local library. As a librarian, I would love to see expectant moms coming in to learn rhymes and songs and bounces, and it's a great way to connect to moms in the community.

    I'm 17 weeks and I am a high risk pregnancy. I have been very depressed and worried since week 12 so my second trimester hasn't been great so far. I'm also not showing so I'm getting frustrated because people don't really believe I'm pregnant. I want to take bump pics but I have lost weight instead of gained and my bump only shows if I'm lying down and even then it's SO TINY. I'm so jealous of all the people with cute bumps that can do the weekly pics and actually see a difference.

    • @n.b.7655
      @n.b.7655 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lucky Leah it is normal. My first 12 weeks i also lost a lot of weight. It was because of the nausia and the throwing up. It takes a few weeks to gain because you first have to gain the lost pounds. Have you tried a diet for easy gaining? Maybe that helps.

    • @luckyleah3807
      @luckyleah3807 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@n.b.7655 I have not yet tried a diet. I have a lot of food aversions so if I am able to eat, I just eat a ton of whatever I can stomach. Recently it's been a lot of carbs, but I stepped on the scale today and have gone down another two pounds. I see my OB soon so I'll ask her if I need to be on a diet or if she has any recommendations. So far, no one really seems to be concerned though. I'm just impatient waiting for the bump.

    • @n.b.7655
      @n.b.7655 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They should be more concerned. I am 14 weeks (almost 15) and they are concerned that i still havent gained enough. The throwing up isnt the whole day anymore, but it still is there. Youre far enough to have a baby bump now. Just search on Google and let that see to the doctor.i hope you gain soon and see the baby bump. Maybe tell the doctor that you are concerned and want an echo? So you can see your baby i think that helps a lot.

    • @luckyleah3807
      @luckyleah3807 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@n.b.7655 Since I'm a high risk pregnancy, I've had a ton of ultrasounds. I have a very in depth one on Monday actually with experts from another city. The last one I had was last week or the week before and they said the baby was actually measuring a little ahead of schedule, so it's not underweight or anything. It's just me with a weird body and pregnancy I guess? But I'll definitely ask Monday.

    Couldn't you use Epsom salts instead of the spray? Epsom is magnesium sulfate...

    • @NatalieBennett
      @NatalieBennett  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stephanie Bennett yes! You probably could. I don't have an adequate bathtub for an adult to soak in so the magnesium spray it is!

    • @lauren8627
      @lauren8627 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've had Epsom salt baths every single day of my pregnancy and at 30 weeks I started getting intensely painful night time cramps despite it :( . The things that helped are magnesium suppliments at night (also helps with sleeping), and also general stretching and also sleeping with an electric blanket on (thank god it's winter) and tights on. Also learning how to NOT stretch or move your leg muscles at all when turning over at night. The cramps are apparently far worse than early labor so I actually can't wait for contractions as nothing is worse than pain for literally no reason, like the leg cramps. Calling them cramps really diminishes the pain. It felt like someone was stabbing my calves with hot knives...

    The burning/tingling sensation from magnesium oil is simply a reflection of how deficient you are. It is totally benign and goes away quickly. Just stick with it.
