Demand for developers doesn't seem to be very big over here in Kenya. Been struggling to get some development work. But I just feel that the future is bright that's why I keep coding hoping for the best.
Excellent information. Post COVID-Corona , world is going to changed. Huge cost cutting,layoffs are expected in entire world. We would like to hear your opinion on future of Software industry, new potential areas where developers should focus on..
As always, great video with rich informations! But I mainly commented to congratulate you Stephan for the sponsor you got! All the best for the future. And Thank you for the priceless tips & informations you're giving us.
The video is really good 👍 but there are many problems related to saas like data security, saturation etc..we need a decentralized saas that is D-saas.. Very few firms are providing services and one of them is "Trias" it is one of the best projects In this decentralised segment it also contains three layers of protection and aims to solve problems such as data theft...everyone should grab such opportunities!!! For best securities...
I work in Higher Education and it's plagued with software that doesn't work and looks good or software that looks terrible and just about does the job. Ripe for SaaS
Stef hope you are doing well! I got a notification for a live stream a few days ago but when I clicked the video it says removed. Did TH-cam take down the video?
1) Coffee or restaurant shop are industries that are going to bankrupt with the current situation is an awful market to aim at. 2) To make a decent SAAS on your own takes between 4 months to a year less than that and you probably making garbage no one will buy 3) UI/UX takes Twice/Triple as long to create than actual backend. Yes, the Front end is Harder than backend and takes longer to produce when you making a Very complex front end. 4) The demand is for "intermediate/senior developers if you have not coded for at least 5,000 hours of 2-3 years you will be part of the 80% junior developer that no one wants to hire except cheap that probably pay you minimum wage or less.
1: Know the domain / target business really well
2: Get it out to end users asap and iterate
3: Make sure the UX and UI are amazing
This applies for any model not just saas so basically this video is bullshit

the Demand for developers is mostly a lie. The market is very competitive in real world.

Man, you make me laugh every time with your "I am 169 years old" jokes. I do the same. Great video by the way as usual.

I was testing a live streaming software and accidentally went live, instead of in testing mode.
Web Developer or Software Developer? Which is the better career choice?
@Peter Mortensen kind of
Software, because you can also dive into web if you want. So you'll have bit of both
If you can get past the 50,000 in video ads it might be ok
169 year old? Who are you, Luis Ortiz?
