    Got7 choreography has a lot of imagery that’s related to them being a group and telling their story as a group. Like the beginning and ending of last piece is GOT7’s logo, the constant connecting is their bond, the end of Jackson rap part they throw their got7 hand symbol in the air using both hands which makes a bird our fandom symbol, the song it’s self is got7 telling our fandom that we are their last piece while the choreography tells about their story. Even the bambam/Yugyeom solo fits because the 2 of them are best friends and the youngest members and Youngjae in the middle of the circle towards the end of the song is also fitting because he was the last member to join the company

    something i really appreciate a lot about got7 and what sets them apart from other groups is how solid their live performances are. they have really great stamina and energy and they really come alive on a stage where they can interact with an audience. they have /always/ put in the effort to sing with live vocals even while doing some really intense choreography and they make no sacrifices when putting on a performance. i've been stanning for a pretty long time now and it always surprises me just how stable their vocals are and i really do feel all their years of experience whenever they perform!!!
    edit: oh! another thing that i love about got7 is their chemistry and how much fun they have when performing. for me, their dance practices are fun because you get to see a more laidback side to them. like even in the breath choreo, they're all smiling and looking at each other.

    I am a got7 fan and I noticed that too with dance practices. I think its not at all being lazy but I think Got7 gains a lot of energy in performances where people are watching them. You can see it clearly in award shows, concerts and music shows. They also do not lip sync in shows. I have nothing against people who lip sync but unlike other groups, Got7 need a choreo that can still make them stable vocally.

    BamBam and Jaebeom have a lot of Breakdancing backgrounds (Jaebeom was in a dance crew before joining JYP and he still dances with them from time to time) BamBam does a lot of styles but his freezes were famous during his debut eras. His pre-debut W.I.N performance, "Around the World" Music video etc show his freezes and bboy stuff. Jackson, how ever, being a professional fencer didn't have much dancing background but still managed to rank #1 among 2000 People fro JYP auditions. He's always had potential to dance smoothly and improve every time. His Lullaby Chorus dance part could be my most favourite one. He's gotten really better like you truly said. People used to say he's "l*zy" or some bs but that's his style i believe. Smooth, laid back but popping at the right moment. Idk much about the terminology you'd know it better.
    Also did you know Jaebeom and Jinyoung were the only JYPE trainees in history to tie #1 amongst 10k people for their audition? BamBam was also a nation wide "Junir Rain" dance competition winner by the age of 10. And also was a runner up for another show by the age of 13. And got into JYPE for dance.
    5/7 among GOT7 got in because of dance. Yugyeom was scouted/ adviced to audition for JYPE, by one of his dance class instructors. He was a child who used to watch videos on the internet and learnt house dancing style as a kid and finally joined a professional class and then later joined JYPE.
    It's remarkable for me, at least, how the main Vocalists are forgotten that they got in with dancing coz they're really good at singing. Youngjae too never had a dancing background but joined JYP in 2013 via a private audition, and after entering the company immediately a month later he was added to the "hip-hop, dance heavy based" line up of GOT7 and stood on par with them and debuted 6 months later dancing on par with his 2-3 year senior trainees as GOT7. He is called the dance genius by his members and the choreographers coz he caught up so fast w his members within months.
    Lol I got too emo ig... TL;DR. I think GOT7's dance line is under-appreciated and their choreographies actually have a lot of intricacies and meanings tying them to the album but the dance practices haven't been the best to showcase them in recent times IDK why. You should watch their Hard Carry, Teenager, You Are, Stop Stop it, Just Right, Look, Lullaby, Focus On Me, JJ Project dance practices too! 🙏

      calling Jackson lazy is such an oxymoron lol he basically went into the industry with no knowledge of dancing but just knowing how to move his body. He's definitely better but you can also see sometimes there's not much energy in his moves and this might be due to him working 24/7.

      Yugyeom also went to Hype & Soul (academy/crew) which was the only hip hop dancing crew in Korea as of 2016, as mentioned in Hit The Stage. The crew Yugyeom joined also was the choreographer of asian games in 2010s. Yugyeom basically learnt dancing from one of the best dancer in SK. He also won number 1 in a house dance competition prior to joining jype as a trainee. Mark was scouted and made his way through the tough trainee system and joined got7. The other six boys had some impressive background with competitions etc.
      Youngjae won Vocal Excellence Award in 2011 in his local Mapo singing competition. Like mentioned before, Yugyeom, Jackson, Bambam, Jb, Jinyoung also won first place in auditions/competitions. These men has some impressive backgrounds I’d say.

    I think these two choreographies are a lot harder than they look, not just the synchronisation but because of the musicality of them. A lot of the moves pick up on the subtler sounds and beats in each songs and can make them look messy if the timing is even slightly off. But yes in general got7 thrive on a stage (and particularly with an audience). Jinyoung’s bridge in Last Piece, for example, I didn’t realise would become somewhat of a “killing part” until I saw them perform it live. Like wow, his BDE is insane. I hope you check out their performance of Last Piece on MusicBank! They really shined with charisma and their live vocals were off the charts.

    Thank you so much for reacting!!! You know its funny...I've seen a couple of other dancers react to these dance practices and they also say that this does not look like their most difficult choreography (in particular for Breath). But if you ask GOT7, they will tell you that both of these were some of their most difficult choreography to follow. I've also heard Jinyoung (I believe) say in the past that their choreography may look easy, but it really isn't. And this is coming from someone who has been dancing his whole life.
    I think this is just a testamate to GOT7's dance skills as a whole. They make it look easy. Im so happy someone else in the comments mentioned that Mark and Youngjae in particular are really impressive because neither of them have any previous dance training prior to coming to JYPE. But now they are keeping up with a dancer on Yugyeom's level. And Youngjae only trained for 7 months! GOT7 really impresses me so much!

    the whole thing about jackson improving a lot after he ventured out with his solo activities actually says a lot about got7. they've always emphasized that each member has their own color, but when they come together it becomes just one color-- got7's color. and that's very true! every time they do their own things, solo stuff and all (like what they're doing right now), the things they have learned and improved reflect on the group. like they said in their letter for us, in the future they'll come back stronger as members with seven different colors. and i really can't wait to see that.

AS FAS AS I KNOW GOT7 THEY ARE THE ONE OF THE FEW WHO COULD DO BOTH DANCE AND SING. NO LIP SYNCING. ITS DIFFICULT TO DO BOTH AT ONCE.

    We can't forget they usually record the Dance Practices after they practiced A LOT during the day (record like 2-3AM, I remember the Lullaby dance practice videos, they recorded almost all versions in one day), they don't just start recording, they practice a lot before, so I guess is understandable to see them a lil bit energy drained. Oh can't forget they did Breath too on the same day (same outfit)

    Breath does seem easier than their usual intricate choreos, but I love the bounce, formation and levels in it. It's fun and I think they should do more of it. And Last Piece is art in itself with the angles, puzzle pieces the finger tutting. There's so many elements that I like in this choreo especially that killer link aft the end. I love that part!

    Honestly Got7 used to go hard when they were a rookie group. But their whole atmosphere is very chill, so if its one ver of the choreo recently its just fun. It's so them, to got7 a dance practice is a dance practice not a competitive opportunity. Im just saying :)

    Instant sub! I loved your commentary and honesty. Your honesty didn't come off as snarky or rude. I found it very insightful. I also enjoyed that you stopped when you spoke. I understand some people don't like a lot of pauses, but I appreciate it because to me it shows you're genuinely interested in the video you're watching. Your commentary on the choreography was actually helpful! I liked how you spoke about the technical aspects. Thank you for the great reaction! c:

    About dance practices, from personal experience I wanted to point out, that there are people who go all out more in lives than at practice, because they get more motivated in front of a live audience. So I think it depends on the individual.

    When you mentioned Jackson has improved so much with his dancing, I really agree with you. I've been an ahgase since their debut year and he's my first bias (until Jinyoung just promptly took me away lol) and as a dancer myself, one thing I noticed about him in dance practices and in live performances is that he tends to do shortcuts in the choreography. His movement is sharp enough to not be too obvious about it but it's there. This isn't to offend him nor anyone else because when you get used to a part of the choreo, you subconsciously do it sometimes right? But I think doing his solo thing helped him A TON in fixing that especially when he started hanging out with Kinjaz. He really improved on his movement, he's a lot sharper and accurate now.
    Also, I think the reason why they're not "synchronized" is because they have such different dance styles that each movement looks so different when they're doing it individually. Personally, whenever I try to learn their dances, I follow Jinyoung the most since his movement's is a lot clearer to me.

    Yeah, right GOT7 has intricate and has more imagery in their choreography. I agree that Jackson has improved a lot when it comes to dancing and not to mention even his vocal range, of course, he became an honorary member of Kinjaz - the world's famous dance crew who mostly choreographs a few iconic choreographies in Kpop.

  • @youngk_planet
    @youngk_planet 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I see what you mean when you say Jackson has improved his dance this era a LOT. But I think Jackson looks so effortless here because breath's choreography is so modern,street hip-hop and breaking inspired. As someone who is also following his career as a solo artist in China too,he has participated and judged popular dance shows which show his potential as a dancer more eloquently than GOT7's choreographies as they are heavily hip-hop influenced. His love for this genre is evident in his solo song choreos too. Check out TITANIC's dance practice if you can.! If someone requests it in patreon do watch his his Hot Blood Dance Crew or Street Dance of China 3 performances.!!

    I love how you pointed out that they've done a lot of transitions like I think that's the reason why they are having a hard time whenever they do switch version of their dances? Hahaha idk plus I've known them for their footwork and now that you've noticed the arm movements that's just when I've noticed it huhu. Omg true! Jackson has a lot of improvements ever since he established his own company/brand/name and I really want to know if he has contributions to these choreos because I bet he has same as Yugyeom :> Thank you so much for this omggg

  • @mdorrdar3656

    a good dance is not always a dance in which members break their neck or legs and go hardcore for that
    a good dance is how they can create a good combination and creativity with music and follow that in a clean way, that's why GOT7 and SEVENTEEN choreo always my favorite. they have hardcore dances too ( like got7 hard carry and OUT , and seventeen HIT ) but i still prefer these types of choreo

  • @rehmr1942
    @rehmr1942 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Well I think people who see last piece dance un-synchronized didn't actually understand the way this dance is going if you are a dancer or dance lover in general you will simply see this as a "masterpiece" but if you are not you might just say "why does it look so messed up" my friend was like that literally she didn't get this dance from the first time

    Their routines I believe are meant for them to dance WHILE singing live... because.. they do not lipsynch.. so that is why I think they do these "not as energetic" choreographies.. and i love them for that, they are true artists. they dance, they jump they move, walk .. while singing life.. wow

  • @rehmr1942
