I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. I'm really really thankful that Jeff gave Jeno such detailed descriptions for his dancing skills.
Jeno is amazing dancer and performer but he's underappreciated even by his own fandom sometimes. Jeff as a professional performer would help ppl recognize and appreciate his talents more for sure
I feel like SM encourages the stylistic differences in execution. To nurture the potential for more solo debuts later on. Plus I feel like this allows for the members to hit the moves with ease and be swaggy/exude personality compared to groups who do more robotic synchronization
Yup, SM has perfected the training ingrained to them. This is a good. Whata amazing is how they all mesh together.
It all makes sense now that I have noticed NCT does not primarily focus on robotic synchronized dance but their dances are complex, mechanical and includes intricate moves ... I always thought why but I also noticed that NCT is more individually strong group compared to many other groups as each member holds individually strong presence and each one of them is a master of certain area/areas. I also think that SM trained them in a way that in the future each one of them can individually hold themselves in the industry.
@@fantasiagirl8907 isn't it a joy to watch th whole group and whn u watch individual cams, their interpretation is different from each other but they blend so well. Plus, i can tell who ia who without seeing their faces, becausw each member has a distinct vibe. NCT just has this swag though, and a chill vibe almost. Their execution is top tier, making it look so easy.
As I watch their dance lately, the move and the beat is synchronise but everyone also has more free movement. It feels personalized and synchronize at the same time if it makes sense.

Yutas dancing is way too phenomenal, he doesn’t try and outshine the Center but when he’s in the center he takes over it so well and it just becomes the biggest highlight....
yes! i thought i was alone in my observation on yuta as a performer. i always think that in 127 both yuta and haechan, makes the performances more cohesive as a group but when given center, really shines.

I noticed Mark more this ERA. Something seemed different about Mark . He definitely has more presence when he dances lately.
All SuperM members from NCT has gotten that extra something. I mean Mark was already a good dancer, but also after coming of age he is slowly building his artist persona more and more. Its interesting and I noticed that shift in his confidence too. Its nkt too much but just enough.
@@babylionssirenblack1595 Even his rapping seems to have leveled up a bit especially in Misfit. We all know how talented he is but I think he starting to more fully establish his artistic persona or has a better idea of the artist he wants to be. Mark was never one of my biases Prob because other members had a more clear stage personas or artistic identities. I love NCT 2020 Several members are shining differently or more brightly then before.
@@artistblue18 i am Leeom/Markzen and had my eye on him and Taeyong from the start so I am very well aware of how talented he is. Nut he did go through teenage awkwardness, as a rapper i had no doubt since Mad City. Misfit just showcases whats been there all along. He has his own signature bounce too. NcT however has a LOT of very charismatic members onstage. Im not a TyongF but Taeyong as an example has a very encompassing stage aura, even with that you have Yuta with the animalistic vibe too, among others. This era he just let himself go in a good a way, ans held back from blending in. Which means, that was a stylistic choice. Working with SuperM members clearly had a lot of advantages for the hoobaes thats why I pointed it out.
@@babylionssirenblack1595 Being part of SuperM has def helped Mark. He does seem to be maturing out of teenager awkwardness that was holding him back a bit. So I’m excited to see grow into his potential even more. He was already a good rapper/dance and some forget he can sing. It’s just great to see members get even better than before
@@artistblue18 he is very observant and is geuinenly interested in people. He also is artistically sensitive. I like how attunee he is to his members and sometimes in clips some of their teasing may have hirt him. He is emotionally mature and well adjusted. Im excited to see more of his growth.

*Jeno* : I like it when a powerful dance is controlled/contained. First of all, a song and a dance have to match for it the whole thing to come to life. When you can control your strength, even in small movements, the dance-line will look impressive.

I thought I was the only one who's seeing how similar jeno dances AND YES HE'S A MONSTER
Yuta's dancing needs to be highlighted more. He has a very distinctive different dance style. I noticed, in the group, most of the audience without proper knowledge about dancing really don't understand how beautifully Yuta dances. Unless they see his fancams.
Also SM not giving Yuta proper lines or screentime doesn't help as well.
Notice when Yuta moves, insane body control he has, his overall technique, balance over whole body - It's absolutely insane. He is literally one of the top 6 NCT dancers out there who can also sing amazingly, has one of the best visuals of kpop. Yuta is a complete package. Once you start seeing Yuta's fancams there is no going back.
Yuta aced this one as expected even though he has unhealed knee & back injury!

90s love was the unit I was most waiting for. Having Haechan as my ult, Ten as an ult wrecker. Yangyang wayv bias. Hendery wayv wrecker. Jeno dream bias. And winwin/mark/sungchan who could not love?! ... but now when I watch it i just ... WHERE DO I LOOK???!!! lol

16:09 yesss I love that part too. My most favourite part in 90's love. The way he move in the mv was insane, the camera work in the mv make it look better. I don't know how to say it about his move, is it sharp(?) Idk I just love that part especially the part where "they look back"(?) The "euimi" part. It's so satisfying to see that part.

Yuta's dance style when he went calmer/elegant actually more harder to do. When we dance with exaggerate/aggressive moves, you can hide a lot of messiness. But yuta, he doesnt waste a single moves and does every moves correctly. And even in aggressive dance style, yuta's moves is still neat and clean, you can see it in resonance cherry bomb and black on black

Yuta's style in work it is flexing his fluidity, graceful, smooth and elegang movements. While in resonance he is back to his sharp aggressive style while still being neat and clean, just like in black on black.
Haechan moves as smooth as butter.

can we just take a moment to appreciate yangyang and jaemin. Both of them shined so brightly with their dancing. Definitely wishing more people payed attention to them and their improvement
Right! That’s so sad... o really like YangYang’s dancing and rapping, but SM didn’t give him a good rap part, audience keep sleeping on him...
Even SM started appreciating Jaemin’s talents and putting him in the center a lot, but the only one comment, out of 100 about other members, mentioning Jaemin only because of his appearance...
I love work it’s choreo so much because of its playfulness! Hendery is definitely a standout and I think it’s amazing how yuta is still able to dance so smoothly and not miss a beat despite having an injury and never given time to heal. If he’s dancing this well now, I would love to see how he changes it up when he actually at full health!
I feel so proud of Hendery really! He finally get recognition for his dancing and he deserves him.

i saw a lot of people complaining (on twt, bc everyone there whines all the time) about mark being the center for the dance break bc people often conveniently forget that he's main dancer and that old school hiphop IS his expertise, like he literally majored in hiphop in school, but also just that he pulls off this dance extremely well imo? (maybe im just biased but idk)

I'm just so happy that u appreciated WayV members, especially those who didn't get much chance to show themselves in WayV, like Hendery, YangYang and WinWin.
All of them have their charisma, on stage, on vocal/rap, also their dances. Really hope to see WinWin have more screentime, he got smthg that rlly captured me.
Also when is comes to slide back into formation SM idols holds the candle. It has been talk of the town long ago with Taeyeon in snsd tell me your wish. Ten doesn't have to look around he just slide right in like the TEN he is.. lol
Wish yangyang would get more recognition for his dancing, singing and rapping. He is the one who can do it all..

Ikr. Work it unit is the best in term of equal opportunities. Their line distribution also better than other unit. In this unit there are underrated (?)(by SM) members like jungwoo, johnny, yuta and hendery. Those members always barely got their lines in their units but here they got to shine more

It's like they keep all the Main Dancers there or something...They're just slayin
FYI One of the choreographers of 90' s Love is Reina, who also participated in Make a Wish. Although she is only 19 years old Japanese female, she already have worked with some other artists.

I like the fact that they didnt change the formation eventhough jisung wasnt around. Like it was intentional so they wont feel the absence
In my opinion, jeno's body proportion and gestures are so manly just like jaehyun. I can see clearly that jaehyun and jeno both have so much masculinity in their body and moves. So that's why even when they dance, the distinctive masculine aura will emerge from them. And they're the great dancer in their own way. They'll give you this strong, bold and manly impression dance moves unlike most of the members who usually have swagger/more fluid dance style in their respective unit

Honestly, we all know NCT's main dancers are in a level of their own
But they have just SO many great dancers. Even just in these 2 U lineups, I can point out at least 8 people who are kpop lead/main dancer level.
