I still have my Topeak multi-tool that I bought 27 years ago, and I've been using it just about every day. The best thing about it is that it's self-serviceable. It has tire levers build-in (which I wouldn't really use as such) but the nice thing about these levers is that it has a hex wrench that you can use to tighten the bolts on the tool itself. I hate my Park Tool multi-tools that just become super loose and you can't get a good grip on them and end up scraping my knuckles - especially when trying to tighten disc rotors (trials bike).
Today's equivalent is the Hexus X I think - not sure if it is self-serviceable.
Awsome collection of tools. I had a topeak before that i unfortunately lost. The quality of that little compact tool was just impressive.
Sweet stash there Doddy ;)
I would have used the uploader but I boycott Facebook. That's another issue. What I wanted to share is a tip or two that will save anyone time and money. One: put a presta/schrader adapter on a shock pump and you have a perfectly good tire pressure gauge. I always give the valve a tap and wipe to keep out sealant. Two: For years, on all my chains I use soft garden wire (the kind with the green plastic coating) to undo my quick links. Make one wrap around the rollers on each side, bend to a tight loop and use a pair of pliers to grab and twist the wire together until the link is opened. Works every time, no damage and almost free!
Wowww...the Gyver knife's look small 😃!!
Thank you Doddy to show that increible pocket tool👍
The pt30 is the truely the ultimate multitool, literally everything you could need to fix your bike in one tool. Would love to have one of these.
Get entered then Pawel! Only a few days left!
I would absolutely love to have one of these tools but I wouldn’t want to deprive anyone else of one. I still using the last generation moduel mini 20
Tubi18 come in handy for my new tubeless setup! Great review and rundown as always Doddy
Dodds your drooling on the multitool!!!🤤
Great job guys!
Topeak knowcking it out of the park yet again!!
I had their MacGuyver 20 years ago... I remember it had a fork on it for some reason.
I think the tubi and then the tirelevers that can break the chain would be a good combo.
PT 30 looks good
I’ve got the 20
Sooooooooooo awesome !
Literally really handy, love em
Nice. But in my opinion the alien is still the best. Using mine since 20 years an still works well. A bit heavy but a really toolbox
Nice set. I really need a chain tool and my current multi tool lacks a few allen sizes so I hope to win either a PT30 or a P20
I need Topeak!!!!!
I LOVE Topeak!!!!!
🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
You're lookin' cute with that moustache! x
I have the Mini 20 Pro. It's rad, despite lacking the blade.
OoooOoooo, gimmegimme. Lovely thing to leave in my bag to save me in a tough spot.
Done and entered ✅✅
The tubeless plug on the 30, is it only for mountain bike tires or would it work for road tires?
Gold looks premium 😍👌
I do hope topeak are going to put these into their highly underated ninja range of tool carry cases
Love the tools!
Great to hear Timothee! Get entered!
Whos the winners of the Crankbrothers dropper?
It has been abounded on the latest dirt shed show
think i'd still get the Ninja 16+ again that I carry with a Stan's Dart (minus it's grey handle to save space)
Love the topeak 20
I still have my top peak alien from 20y ago😄
That Tubi 18 would be a great one to have in the bag "drool* - but what's with the Mo Doddy?? ;)
Cool toolz..
What speed chains do the chainbreaker part of the tool cater for?. I have a multitool and recently found that I cannot break my 12 speed chain using the chainbreaker as the chain plate is not flush with the tool to enable the pressing out of the pin. I maintain my own bikes and have always replaced my own chains when they need replacement using my trusty chainbreaker tool.
Important question is do they have bottle openers?
Running with the topeak ninja at the minute but got caught out with my race Face affect crank bolt came loose after the first ride after lbs changed frame bearings, long walk back to the car.
1:13 I was awaiting the day when torx will be removed from bikes, now they add TWO tools to a multitool. Please GMBN you're one of the guys that can make a difference. Torx is not needed on bikes, it only forces on-bike tools to be bigger and more complex. And so is flat head and philips AND JIS bolts (japanese industrial standard on older shimano stuff).
All those bolt heads can be replaced by hex bolt heads. WHY? because they have the widest range of bolt heads out of any standard. Imagine how much smaller multitools would be without 4 uleselss bits. Tumb it up guys please, why do we need more bolt standards!!!!
I don’t disagree, but I can understand the manufacturers’ reasoning behind the use of torx bolts on bikes - I mostly see torx on safety-related hardware anyway. That being said, you can always replace the bolts on your bike with the ones you want - just check the threading, length and go to town (eBay). There’s a business idea for someone right there too - selling bike model-specific aftermarket screw kits for replacing all the bolts on your bike with one uniform type. :)
Where are the crankbrothers highline 7 giveaways
If somehow the police want to take a look inside your bag and they find the tubi 18 they are gonna think its some high end drug tool haha
Touch of the Gary Fisher going on there doddy?
I keep on getting "Form submit captcha error" when trying to submit my quiz answer, tried a different browser too.
me too,on phone
I have a question, if I use citrus degreaser on my bike chain and drivetrain, will it damage the them?
no , been using it for years and my drive train still shines ;)
These would be a great everyday carry for my prosthetic leg too, not just for use on the bike. those things are tiny
Ha
Your prosthetic legs are tiny?
The link is not working for me?
Ummmm I just entered and I want to un enter can u remove me please, keep up the good work doddy!!!
when are these winners announced?
Hi Gmbn,

#AskGMBNTech What do you think of the Fox Rhythm series? Better than the Yari/deluxe combo?
So cool new #GMBN guy Doddy in the supr .To peak multi tool un #GMBNTech boxing giveaway mini PT 30 mini tubi 20 tubi 18 for 🤘😀 #Moutainbiking. Saluds of chile 🇨🇱
I think the crank Brothers F-15 is a better and looks nicer
#askgmbn Im stuck about the question, Pressfit or BSA bottom bracket. Is someone better?
BSA
#Askgmbntech #Askgmbn , hi doddy I ride a calibre astronaut dirt jumper and my front wheel axle is stuck so I cant take the wheel off I looked on TH-cam and I did everything right, do you have any solutions for me , big fan of the channel. Thanks
I'm not quiteeee 18 yet.... Can I still enter the giveaway?
Daniel Guidote I did don’t think it really matters too much
2:40 Sad to say P20 will be really bad for splitting chain. To have enough leverage to grab this little and narrow spindly "jaw" you will have to have a tiny....but gorilla hands at the same time. Even bigger "jaw" on my crankbrothers tool is so painfull to use, I have doubts if i will be able to split chain when it's necessary. Now imagine that same task with wet hands or "arm-pumped" hands or....in cold weather. A really bad design that is copied here and ...."so clever" - not really. Topeak had better designs in the past where you had some sort of a longer lever or a tool separated in two. This one- not recommended. Massive thanks for giveaway to topeak though.
the p20 is for adjusting the derailleur stop screws
@@DavidCulshawmer-r you don't know what you're talking about?
actually if you are a true trail McGuiver you wouldn't need a multi tool! Just a cotton swab, bubblegum wrapper and a human hair.
You guys never announced who won the tools. Shame
The experience I've had with topeak multitools is bad they get rusty and break easily not for me thankyou
im only 2 years late to this
As a 9 year mtb owner i don’t recommend topeak, the build quality is poor compared to crankbrothers. I don’t know how many chains you fixed with that tool but trust me the topeak tool fails hard and gets damaged when removing the rivets. Crankbrothers has much better build quality and never failed with fixing chains and never bended
i just subscribed, wanna collab on a video?
Bruh 🤣🤣
They should make a PT 40
