    I’ve had B’al Afrique for a couple of years now and I love it. It’s really underrated..you hardly hear about it (online.) . It’s a great fresh warm weather fragrance!

    Paris corner is 🔥. They reached out a while ago and sent me a few bottles to review and they all were stellar. I need to go back and review them all again now that I’ve learned how to edit better. I can do them better justice.

      Nice! Yea I think I might get the Byredo Sundazed clone that they made and try that one out too.

    Thanks for the review. I’ve had sample of bal D’afrique in the past and it was slightly feminine in my book but I love the scent. After your review and the differences, I’m gonna pull the trigger on the vetiver delight. God Bless

    I have both. They're close. The VVD has better freshness in the breeze, more noticeably aromatic. I like the VVD as an easy reach for everyday. I save the bal d'afrique for more dressy wear at say, a wedding, the office, day date. If you want Bal d'afrique on steroids, try 'Hanuman' by Boudicia the Victorious. High dolla but makes ya holla.

    Byredo it leans to feminine for my taste.

    $220 for the Byredo Bal d Afrique vs $34 for the Paris Corner Vetiver and you recommend the Byredo?!! Are you nuts? Like the average person is going to notice the difference? Some of you fragheads are completely out of touch. And narcissistic.

    • @TheSublimeLifestyle

      You sound hurt and personally affected by this man’s opinion, lol. These originals are priced for a reason - I’ve done some dupes after reviews and they may be similar, but they do not completely compare to the original frags. BDA is unique in its aging and composition. That dupe is good but extremely sharp and less refined.

      @deydrm 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@TheSublimeLifestyle "Hurt and personally affected"? Hahaha. Where did you get your psychology degree from? I'd want my money back. 99% of most people won't notice the difference on many of these popular dupes being sold. I've been collecting fragrances for over forty years now so I have more experience than many collectors. The dupes that are being made now are better than they've ever been in the past. I also have alot of experience smelling pure essential oils.My wife sells DoTerra essential oils,some of the most refined,tested for purity,essential oils,that you can buy. $220 dollars for a bottle of perfume,especially one without that many notes,is ridiculous. Vetiver is not that expensive.
      Now I just bought Maison Alhambra's Victorioso Legend,a dupe of Paco Rabanne Invictus Legend. With all the experience I have I can't tell the difference. I've been able to differentiate slight differences in dupes before. Even in different batches of the same fragrance. But not this time. The sillage and longevity was identical as well. In fact,the only slight difference I could detect was that the dupe smelled better hours after the drydown. It had a woody base that I could still detect. The Paco Rabbane Invictus Legend just fade away into an synthetic smell. Here's the truth. Many years ago,when I first started collecting,the perfumes were mostly natural. And they smelled like it ,if you had knowledge and experience as I quickly gained. Today,most of the top designer brands, and some niche,are using man made aroma chemicals. And in my opinion, aren't as good as the fragrances made even 25 years ago,where some aroma chemicals were used to comprise the scent. The old perfumes had many many notes in them. 3 to 4 times more. They were way more complex making them hard to dupe easily. There weren't any celebrity perfumes. Elizabeth Taylor was one of the first,and was pretty good back then. But the thing is,to the average person,nobody is going to notice the difference. And they don't care,I know this from experience. If what they're smelling smells good,whether it's natural or synthetic,it doesn't matter. Should it? Spending a $150 dollars more for a more natural smelling perfume is ridiculous to 99.5% of people,even collectors like me. Now I grew up in a generation where people actually worked hard for their money. Most of us weren't spoiled and snobby like the past few generations have been raised to be. Common sense back then meant something, whereas common sense today is a rare commodity.

      @deydrm hey! You sound like you can make your own channel and share your insight on these topics. I would definitely subscribe! Also I completely agree with your comment-- besides the part where you called someone narcissist for sharing his opinion. 😅 other than that you should do a TH-cam fragrance channel as well.

      Yeah, he made literally absolutely no sense in this video whatsoever, especially looking at the price difference. Also, the OG leans feminine and the clone masculine, and he still recommended the Byredo. Make it make sense plz!!
