If I were Jeremy, I would've asked the grandfather to install security cameras. That way, if anyone tried to sabotage someone else, they'd be caught. As for Jeremy's grandfather, he was a bad egg at first. However, when he expected OP's father to return, begging for help, but never saw it happen, realizing that his son actually made a life for himself despite the odds stacked against him, I think Jeremy's grandfather realized that he was wrong for trying to force Jeremy's dad to join the business, and that it was possible for him to hold his own without marrying a rich person. That is something worthy of attention from anyone. This was something none of Jeremy's siblings, save Olivia, seemed to understand. Unfortunately, the richer you are, the more likely that money will corrupt the minds of your family. I'm sure Jeremy's grandpa saw this take effect, and realized that abandoning his son was a terrible mistake, which, to his credit, Jeremy's grandpa made up for. In regards to Jeremy's grandpa urging Jeremy to go to the same schools as Max, he wasn't being unreasonable. Sure, Jeremy got bullied, which is bad, but those same schools also offered better education. So, while Jeremy suffered being in those schools, the benefits would outweigh the drawbacks of being surrounded by toxic people. I'm very proud of Jeremy and his dad, too. Those two actually taught old grandpa some new things. I'm sure making Jeremy CEO was part of a thanks for making his life better, and for helping him realize that hard work pays off. Having everything given to you from Day 1... Not so much.
And how would OP do this IF Max had succeeded in his setups and denied him a chance to get into college? Sometimes, ignoring the problem HELPS the abuser.
While I admire you for your fortitude, and am proud the you achieved so much. I also realize that a lot of what you endured was strengthening you for the future to come. It seems that you weathered the storm, but know this it isn't over. You have made a mortal enemy in Max. Be blessed, be strong and trust your instincts.
OP - should have shut down Max long before. OP's Dad - Shouldn't have moved his family into a home with a bunch of strangers who he already knew weren't the greatest people. He's even worse for keeping his family there for years with all the abuse they suffered when he had the means to leave. OP's Grandfather - There's no way he was blind to how OP and his family were treated under his roof all that time, yet he knowingly allowed it to continue. Not to mention he comes off as bit of a control freak. OP's Cousin - Got exactly what he deserved, although he shouldn't have been allowed to get away with as much as he did for as long as he did. I think a few people share the blame for that. Entertaining story.
@@DaWhiteWolffieJust not sticking up for his family but bringing his family into what he already knew he was a toxic situation, sorry but daddy was a douche for bringing his family into this situation. Then he lends money to his brother, Max's father, so he could get Max into Yale via bribery.
BRAVO!👏👏👏👏 I’d still watch your back until the day your cousin bites the dust. Like everyone else that has posted, I have a feeling once your grandfather passes, he will be after you. I hope tho, fingers crossed 🤞 that you two can at least become civil in your adulthood.
Why did your father go back and subject you to this toxic family? I mean his father hadn't changed, I knew he hadn't changed his ways, he was still autocratic. And you tell your father that these things weren't necessary to your future happiness? You put up with this extremely toxic cousin, for what. Your dad is a big boy. He knew his father better than you.
Not to victim blame but OP seemes to love being mistreated almost like a kink seeing as he was seemingly actively protecting max from any consequences because if he just stopped let others see max for what he was instead of blocking the truth max would of immediately been expelled and likely kicked out of the family instead he only actually did something when he was directly threatened likely cause he forgot his safe word.
Money and "education" does not make you smart, sure op came out on top but he was still to passively pathetic. Rich bully poor is not new but rich on rich who da fuq cares, keep ur issues to urself
Really in the mood for a mother-in-law story. As my out there????,BUT REALLY KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT STORIES. LOVE THE WHOLE REDDITIO STORIES , ALL THREE.
Your family has money so get security cameras all in the house or at less in where your amedite family say and stay there unless all the other family is there.
I would still watch out for Max. He seems unhinged enough that he could kill OP.
OP's father runs a security firm but has never considered putting up security cameras?
Securities is not a security firm.... Securities is the stock market.

Turning the other cheek only ends with a sore face, cousin has already fired the first shot, turn-about is fair play.
@@largol33t12I agree!!!!!
Destroying thousands of dollars worth of books or school supplies and all the other things mentioned are not pranks, they are Malicious.
Honesty lasts the longest and is proven again. OP I am proud of how you handled your cousin. Well done ❤️😄

Entertaining story.
This was fun. It was a lot like Dynasty. The original series.
Hopefully, Jeremy hired Olivia to be his assistant. She was the only cousin to ever be genuinely nice to him.
Time to show grandpa your recorded conversation between him and her brother.
What is wrong with OP's dad? Why put his wife and child through this.
Lmao dude was legit a fucking doormat
Always tell people that you are UNDECLARED and just taking classes to see what you're interested in.
Op you need to sue max for slander and defamation.
Nta. Your family sounds awful. Well all but the 10 yr old. Take your inheritance and leave the haters behind with a smile.
WHY. Why would you willingly live with these people when you HAD a great place to live before??
HE didn't chose to live there his father did.

19:51 what the heck is wrong with that cousin
Why is everyone in the story a CEO or an inheritor of millions??? 😂
And yet they come to Reddit for advice and suggestions. Daydreamers is the answer.

I would never ever trust that cousin. I will always keep both eyes on him.
Everything is screaming at me that this is a fake story.... Satisfying somewhat but still fake.
Max will always try to undermine his cousin, but it's great that the cousin worked himself up the ranks.

Welp, it's obvious that you can't buy manners and tact. The Grandpa could have put a stop to all of that bs easily too.
Put cameras in your rooms.
I would have told my grandfather sooner .
The difference between being spoiled and entitled your whole life rather than raised the right way.
Olivia is the sweetest cousin and best friend OP could ever have to have his back.
Are we just going to skip over the fact that he's dating his cousin?
The best revenge is living well.
I think it shows just what a great man he grew up to be he did it on his own without complaining
sooooooo we're just going to ignore mr. reddito's bedroom poster?? 🆒
Thanks for working hard on these.
