    Story Summary :-
Op’s mom has just remarried a man with a daughter. She goes overseas for work and leaves op with him. He ends up fighting with Op because of the way his daughter is always intruding in the house. So he moves his daughter in and kicks Op out. He lies to his wife and says that Op was being disrespectful. The house is in the ops name so she goes through legal channels to kick them out. When she kicks them out, her relationship with her mom becomes strained. Her mom comes back and tries to get the house back in her name. Her case is overruled and she gets an apartment with her husband. Two months later she gets a heart attack. This is after finding out the man ran off with all her money. Worst of all, his so-called daughter was his wife. She claimed to be 23 but she was 33. They escape and skip the country. When they make the mistake of returning, Davis is shot and his accomplice is arrested. She serves a life sentence and he does not make it.

Me, neither. Not only should OP go full NO CONTACT with her mother, she should also sell her house, move to another state, buy a lovely condo there, and grow her own family that consists of supportive new friends, a trustworthy therapist, and a warm-hearted man whose family are good people. Plus, OP will end up with a mother- in-law who's more of a mother to her than the birth-giver is.

Stepfather was totally in the wrong! First of all he had no right to move his precious little entitled daughter into the home that is in Op's name without asking permission, second to change the locks is illegal when Op is the legal owner and third, making Op to move out without an eviction notice is totally illegal! Step-dad and his brat are squatters and should be put in jail!

He’s conman and his ‘daughter’ partner cleaned out the Mother’s bank account. OP and her Mom had no come-back, because David and his partner escaped to a country that has no extradition treaty. Then David got killed because he screwed over the wrong person and his partner Sarah got arrested. So in the end, OP’s Mom managed to get back to good health and David and his partner got everything they deserved (David gave up his life and Sarah got jailed for life.)

Wow, her stepdad is a choosy beggar isn't he? OP's stepfather pays no rent and relies on OP and her mother for money. He moves his daughter in but the house is in OP's name. It's her house, not his or his wife's. OP's mom angrily cancels her from her insurances. So OP removes her from all her online, movie and TV accounts. Unfortunately her stepfather took all OP's mother's money and confessed his supposed daughter was his partner in crime. Ex-step dad is murdered and Sarah the partner is caught. Well, hope OP and her mother can repair their relationship and move forward.

I think that's taking it too far. Now, I 100% agree that OP's mom was in the wrong, and that OP did nothing wrong. But, even with what the mom did... Her karma was TOO harsh for her not to get at least SOME sympathy. I mean, OP's mom lost everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. Her love, her money, her happiness, her willingness to eat, probably her place to live... Everything.
Normally, I'd say that the person in the wrong deserved karma, and, honestly, OP's mom DID deserve karma, but NOT LIKE THIS!!! I think after having all that dumped onto her at once, I think it's safe to say OP's mom learned her lesson, and will continue to regret her actions. The mom was cruel, but her karma was more than enough punishment.

Exodus 20:12. "Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God hath given thee." Even if things don't go all the back to the way which they once were, don't shut her out. I saw on Facebook once, that a young woman got her wish. She wished for a quiet day. She got it. Her kids left home, her siblings had moved away, and her parents died. I also saw on Facebook that said don't shut her out. One day you will crave a conversation, and she'll no longer be there.

OP was a brilliant cookie. It makes me sad that her Mom would not listen to her. They had been through so much together since her Dad and OP's Mom's husband died. I am glad OP did everything she could to save the family's house. After listening to OP, I noticed that she regrets some of her actions. But OP and her Mom are made of the same attitude. Number one sweetie your mom is an adult and as an adult she does understand but now you have a way you have a way to make it up to her and to be with her bring her home and take care of her it's your time to be her caregiver when you can't be there during the day because of work that somebody is with her and make sure it's not that piece of crap that took off with everything that she owns maybe when she's better she'll put in divorce papers and get rid of him get rid of him and then you can bring her back into your home permanently for good

  • @AutismTakesOn
    @AutismTakesOn 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

With the comments, I'm in between them. I don't think OP's mom deserved what she got, but what happened to her was the result of her actions, or inaction of checking whether or not OP was right. It's better to waste a few minutes, hours, days, or even weeks of your time checking false claims about someone you love rather than just assuming the claims are false, only for them to be true, and next thing you know, your life is flushed down the toilet.
With regards to OP's house, I wouldn't say it wouldn't have mattered what OP did, but the main point is that the house was in OP's name. Therefore, regardless of whether she was right or wrong, OP, legally, had the right to kick out her family, and OP's mom trying to sue her for the house was just a failed lawsuit before it was even filed. Although, morally speaking, I wouldn't like people turning my house into a dumpster like Sarah was doing to OP's house.
And with OP cancelling her services for her mom... Idk what her mom was expecting when she cut her services to OP. Did she just think that OP would just sit and cry instead of doing the same to her and getting her own services? If OP is an adult and has enough cash, she doesn't need her mom to survive, and she had every right to stop paying for things that weren't hers.
The moral of this story: Always second-guess yourself. It may seem like a waste of time, but it could save you one day.

It’s always way too easy to say what I think I would’ve done; but the reality is we don’t know until we find ourselves in that exact situation,
Having said that, it took being estranged from her daughter and faced with the reality of being robbed by a con and abandoned for OPs mom to admit that she was wrong - that’s some strong pride. Some people are just hard headed like that. The most important thing is that OP didn’t give up on her and reject her mom in the midst of her heartbreak 💔 and illness. That speaks volumes about OPs character and true nature. Hope they’ll be okay in the long run.
QUESTION: What ever happened to Sarah’s child mentioned early in the story? Was that also Dave’s child? Curious 🧐

I would have done what OP did. I was kicked out at 16 because my dad's new fiance made up a bunch of lies and my dad knew they weren't true but kicked me out anyway. His words:"You have your whole life ahead of you to find happiness, this is my last chance" He died 3 years later at 44 from a drug overdose in jail due to an addiction he developed after starting to sell prescription drugs to keep her in the lifestyle she demanded. I tried to keep a relationship with him despite what he'd done, but she would not let me around, and he did whatever she said. It's really sad and breaks my heart to this day. It's been 20 years since he died, and I am still struggling to forgive him. I feel guilty over not being able to. So many things happened to me while I was living alone at 16, and had I not had friends then met my husband it could have been so much worse but he truly stopped caring at ALL about me. I could tell more to prove it, but it's unnecessary. I'm glad OP was able to protect herself, and her Mom had somewhere to go when her husband showed his true colors. OP'S mom was right. This stuff happens more than people realize, and you should never turn your back on true family. I'm glad her mom's ok.

This just doesn't sound real. A husband does not leave the house directly to the child. By default, it is marital property, with the wife getting half. It doesn't sound like they come from a family with money for a situation like this to arise. Living in the house, they could not just kick OP out. They would have to evict her. She could not just evict them by just filing paperwork. OP would have to bring them before the judge to get them evicted. So no surprises. This is likely just an entertaining story.

I don’t think anyone should be mad at the mom. Yes she chose David and his Hooker. But everyone makes a mistake. No parent is perfect. When you lose a parent you try to hang on to the other parent for as long as you can. David was so good at being a con artist that he made her mom believe that everything was Op’s fault. I’m just glad the house was in op’s name. Or he would have stolen that from them. I’m glad op is back w/ her mom. And they are doing better. I’m praying Op and her mom can heal from this together.

U forget that the mom help plotted to kick out op and cut op off from medical benefits without contacting her about that just to screw with her financially

Bullsh1t. She utterly betrayed op and has no excuse and 'brainwashing' is a ludicrous excuse that makes me fully distrust the honesty of people coming up with such excuses

Honestly, up till the reveal of the con, it sounded to me that Mom might genuinely have a point: it sounded as though SD moved his kid in and because OP liked being a single child they freaked out and wanted nothing to do with SS and seemed pettily controlling. Step was 1,000% in the wrong with the whole scam, bu I get where Mom was coming from in initially believing them.

That is totally ridiculous if you bothered to take into account that it was op's house. Not her mother. Not her stepfather. OP. That trumps all. Period and the mother is despicable to not take that into account.

The mum was 100% in the wrong. She was more interested in the man and keeping him happy because instead of acting like an adult and sitting her daughter down and having a conversation with her about her feelings on things she straight up believes the bloke.
Why would you believe one side of the story instead of speaking to both of them. Unless you that desperate to have a partner in your life, you will always believe them and put them first without even considering your child
