  • Live baiting techniques for big Snapper and Cobia. I also put the underwater drone down on an amazing rock structure which was loaded with jewfish and mangrove jack from the offshore grounds out from Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Australia.

    Absolutely brilliant video as always Greg! Some great snapper fishing there, and that cobia was a donkey 👌
    I’m loving your underwater footage too. Do you have a theory on why the jewwies swim down and rub themselves on the sand? I’ve heard of them doing the same thing in surf gutters. Some fishos think that the worms smell their slime and poke their heads up, but that could be an old wives tale. It was interesting to see them do it in your video here.

    What do you think the footage tells you about the behaviour of the Jewfish?

    • @gregswickedfishing
      @gregswickedfishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Typical Jewfish to be honest mate. You will often only catch one or two from a school like that at the best of times. Targeting them at night can make a big difference same goes for the dusk and dawn periods. When they don't want to feed they get a bad case of lockjaw.

  • @tropicrows
    @tropicrows ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Watching your videos is both enjoyable and educational, Greg. Why do you prefer to use mono when float lining, is it because the line drifts down slower and the bait presents more naturally?

    • @gregswickedfishing
      @gregswickedfishing  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks heaps Bruce I really appreciate the kind words mate. Yeah the mono has a slower sink rate and the fish feel a lot less when they grab the bait.
